I'm not a religious person. I should add I am referring to the Christian God.

The Bible, if Holy as all say it is, should not be evolved. It was written based on supposed beliefs that a Christian should follow today. Where as, scientifically speaking, evolution exists in people and the species.
If the Christian God is who created this existence, how can that basis be evolved?

While trying to get evolution and gay in the same question, I have learned a lot about the body parts of animals, so thanks!

GGH,
I went to Sunday School when I was a kid, I went to church every Sunday and CCD every Wednesday night.
I do not disbelieve what I don't understand or do not know about. I know about it, and after many years, I don't believe the hype.
Good for you that you found something to have faith in. I live my life best having faith in myself and my family. God tends to get in my way.

the gay monkeys did not 'evolute' in to straight right wing bible thumpers.

actually homosexuality is very common in the animal kingdom

Male big horn sheep live in what are often called "homosexual societies." They bond through genital licking and anal intercourse, which often ends in ejaculation. If a male sheep chooses to not have gay sex, it becomes a social outcast. Ironically, scientists call such straight-laced males "effeminate."

Giraffes have all-male orgies. So do bottlenose dolphins, killer whales, gray whales, and West Indian manatees. Japanese macaques, on the other hand, are ardent lesbians; the females enthusiastically mount each other. Bonobos, one of our closest primate relatives, are similar, except that their lesbian sexual encounters occur every two hours. Male bonobos engage in "penis fencing," which leads, surprisingly enough, to ejaculation. They also give each other genital massages.

Hi again , Unicorn. I'm the person whose question about Oprah being a spiritual leader you answered yesterday. As the others have said, homsexuality s common in animals. I take it from your answers that you are an athiest. I used to be, too. If you're anything like I was, there is nothing I can say to you that will prove God's exisitence to you and I would probably annoy you in the trying. So I won't except to say this - I cannot prove God's existence, but you cannot prove His nonexistence. So consider doing what I did - Sincerely ask God to reveal His existence in a way that's personally meaningful to you. If He answers , you've gained something. If He doesn't , you've lost nothing. So why not give it a try?

evolution and sin is such an interesting concept and it regards science - and if that is the case how can being gay be a sin if it is genetetic predisposition? you do not choose the sex you are sexually attracted to and therefore, it can not be a sin because you can only commit a sin based on your own free will, which according to religion was given by god.

please be aware that religion has evolved as well and the bible has so many different authors and the same story is so often told in multiple ways - and whose god are you talking about? everyone believes their religion is the right one - prove yours is.

Do You mean the God they taught you about in CCD gets in the way or the real God? The real one thinks you are fine just the way you are and does not see any need for any changes on your part. She/he could care less if the monkeys or you are gay.

The interesting component about human sexuality is that that's no longer thoroughly black or white. some immediately people fantasize about people of their own sex, some gay people fantasize about people of the alternative sex, and some by no skill do. It easily really relies upon on the guy.

as MG pointed out, homosexuality can be found amongst animals. Of course, homosexual animals are generally weeded out by natural selection, but it exists.
Also, imho, it is not a sin for animals to be gay. G-d didn't give them a moral code -- that is for us humans.

This is "during evolution". What, did you think it all of a sudden stopped?

And, yes, apes exhibit homosexual behavior. Guess it's more natural than people would like to think.

Yes they displayed homosexual behaviour. As do priests when they bugger altar boys in most religions.
