Dan Brown is not Catholic, not a priest, and is married.

When asked if he was a Christian, he replied, "Yes," with a long explanation (see his FAQs below).

With love in Christ.

Dan Brown is not a priest. What may his motivation be? He, like all authors, write and try to sell what was written. The motivation isn't all that different than why you wake up in the morning and go to work.

No, he is not a priest. Just a very resourceful writer who researches his stories well and quite deep.
The Catholic Church is a con operation, full of crooks and evil people. And Dan Brown has only scratched the surface.

P.S. I am not a Christian either. But I studied Theology and know what is going on inside the Church.

He's not a priest. He wrote the book because he was unsuccessful in a series of other careers, and needed to make money. Why not read a book review and look up Dan Brown on the web? Or you could read his fictional book. It's not bad, really, if you enjoy that sort of thing.

What in Gods name made you think he was a Catholic, let alone a Priest. He's just an Author who happened to write two books about the church. He has also written a book about the Pentagon I think, that doesn't make him a General.

No. He's pretty much like Oliver Stone who made the deceptive movie JFK and Michael Moore who made the insane movie Fahrenheit 911. They all did it for money.

He is not a Roman Catholic priest.

His motivation? That's easy: Money.

The Book is fictional---and he's married. Money made him do it or the devil--as the old saying goes--to put doubt in believers and non believe in the word of God. Read your BIBLE-PRAY-ASK God for the answer to that question..
