try this one too: the death penalty, but isn't that a commandment - thou shall not kill? but you support bush whose for the death penalty? hmm, doesn't sound very christian to me.

I would not necessarily say it would be hilarious to ask these questions. I know that "religion" preaches peace and inclusion. However as a thought provoked adult, we as a society know this is not the case. If Religion was so inclusive then there would be no denominations, there would be one denomination that taught, peace and love and total inclusion regardless of sexual preference, race, social status, etc. I believe myself to be spiritual not religious and welcome anyone to ask me about my opinion of evolution or homosexuality, and I know people who are very church involved that would not have a problem with this question being posed to them. However, majority rules and most "so called" Christians would either blow you off or tell you that whomever is homosexual is going to hell or there is no such thing as evolution because God created the heaven and the earth. However, if you just look around from the beginning of recorded time, there is evolution, humans, animals and plants have all adapted they have "evolved" into what they are now to be able to survive in our climate and in the world as it is now. So in a round about way I answered your question.

You ask amiss.
The number one question that should be asked is: After my life on earth is over do I really want to live an eternity in Hell?
You can know the truth and that truth will set you free!
I was a biker/lead Guitarist for 40 years before I found the peace that passes all understanding.
Nothing or no one has ever satisfied me like Jesus.
When you laugh at Christians, remember most of them once traveled the same road your on now.
The main thing you should know is that: God Loves You!
Also all real Christians love you too.

I don't know that I would choose the word hilarious. Having a discussion with a Christian about either one of these topics usually has ME frothing at the mouth when I have to hear the hypocrisy coming out of their mouths, especially regarding the latter topic.

I'd go for evolution, though both baits get pretty funny responses.
Just think if Yahoo answers was around at the time of Galileo. Imagine the responses you'd get for saying the earth is round (doesn't have 4 corners) and gasp shock horror goes round the sun and isn't the center of the universe.

Hey there. I'm a Christian. I don't mind if you ask questions about that stuff. They are good questions. I'm just sorry that so many of you have the kind of impressions you do about Christians. I agree. Some of "us" are out there. Some of us do come across in a very obnoxious way. I don't really hang with those folks myself. But, there are many of us who KNOW that we DON'T have all the answers. There are also a bunch of us who do have real peace, love and joy- so much more than we had before knowing Christ. I think some of your comments about Christians are rather funny, really. I just wanted you to know that this is one Christian who didn't have a "heart attack" as optimistic_p put it. (LOL). Peace!

Xianity is one big swirling cesspool of hypocrisy. I have known MANY Xians in this lifetime and never cease to be amazed, and amused, by their responses and rebuttals to their religious beliefs. I am also shocked at how much more I know about their teachings than they do. I can't say I never set foot in a church because I lived in one for 10 years, but I can say this, for having never studied the bible or practiced a major Xian religion, I know more reasons to NOT buy into the rhetoric and crap than they can recite in it's defense. All I see is a bunch of lambs being led to slaughter...moreover, they go willingly!!! I never fail to be stunned by anyone's choice to follow. Especially after studying [religious] art for years.
To answer your Q, either topic brings interesting results. And by the way, no religion is better than a bad one. Ask my husband, he was raised in a private Xian school. He KNOWS!! Wouldn't even go to his reunion this week because he said he didn't want to hang around a bunch of crazy Xians...and these people used to be his childhood friends.

Just ask about anything that can be scientifically proven. Those are the best questions. Asking about homosexuality, while funny, is still based more on a personal prejudice than on scientific facts.

"Even though I can't see it, I imagine they are frothing at the mouth any time I ask about these two subjects."
Perhaps that says more about you, than about them.

Evolution by a long shot. It's like listening to a virgin describe sex, and at least evolution is a theory that has no feelings, whereas homosexuals are people with feelings.

How about non-Christians...They complain about all the Man/Soldiers getting killed in the war, man who have signed up to be a soldier all on there own but it is OK for someone to have abortion and kill a baby that has no say so in it all or for that matter the father of the baby.
