As long as there are religions, there are wars against countries.

If there were no religions, the wars would be of a more honest kind.

now there`s christians declaring wars for "democracy" in the name of god.
It would make a slight difference in honesty, if a president or nation would just say "we want your oil, period"

religion is a shield for real intentions.

If you could remove Christianity from this world-you could get a better picture of hate.
All religions claim that they are the right one. Some people hold certain factions of religions hostage in order to propagate their hate. The Baptist Churches have denounced this guy that is protesting at funerals as a heretic. But that does not stop people from forming bad opinions of Baptist.
The Bible never teaches hate. You do not understand. If you read a passage out of context-which most scoffers do-you can get the wrong interpretation. When I see someone make a false accusation about the Bible , I know they have not read it.

religions don't teach hate. Some people misinterpret what the book says, and some people are psycho claiming they get order from the God to hurt other people. Christians have a history of being the superior religion, it was so powerful that all kings in Europe must obey them. I am not Christian, I don't know if they still have the same feeling or not, most likely they don't. Other religion like Buddhist has never gain so much power in politic and don't get involve in fight with other religion.

Okay--It isn't the "religion" of Christianity that is condemning people. C. S. Lewis said it best I think: "Christians are the best and worst example of Christianity." There are good and bad and flat out wackos in every group. I'm sure if you look, there is some ****** Buddhists out there somewhere.

I am almost to the point where I am ashamed to label myself as a Christian for the very reasons your question poses. Please-don't lump me in with the fundamentalist, legalistic jerks and *******. I am a follower of Jesus Christ, with issues and problems like everyone else. I don't condemn or hate anyone because I can't. And those Christians that do, are wrong. I'm sure their sins are much scarier than yours or mine. Well, maybe yours. I think when Christ comes; the wackos will be sadly disappointed about what he has to say.

You can take the first step. You need to continue down your spiritual journey. Continue to have your spiritual approach in all things. Don't become a part of the problem by telling someone of any religious belief what you think is wrong with it. By saying the Bible or Quran(Koran) teaches hate only separates us. If you look into each religion you will find many common and very good things to think about. Don't let terminology get in your way. Don't fall into the trap and make someone have to defend their beliefs to you.
I know I am not telling you anything you don't already know, I just wanted to inspire you to get back on your true path of spiritual discovery.

"the bible teachs hate too and so does the quran so should we remove that from the books or should the religion just accept everyone?"

That above statement is why people don't believe in God. Um... let's take out the things we don't like and don't make sense and if there are more questions, we'll say you're not supposed to take it literally.

I thought a true christian is above hate?

If you understood the prophecies foretold in the Book of Revelation there will come a time when many Christians will come together and follow the beast power highlighted in Revelation 13, 14. They will think that they are doing God's work by forcing people to accept their style and way of worship. The Mark of the beast is not literal mark but the acceptance of a system of force worship. With all the calamities happening on the earth from crime, natural disasters, etc. they will come together and say that its because we are not worshiping God in the true way. They will be misled and they will force the world to follow them. Understanding the prophecies in the Bible are crucial in preventing us from persecuting others and to prepare for persecution from others.

Religion is all about looking down on someone else and hating them if they don't want to be like you. Religion is the base to all the hate in the world and the wars that rage.

Rid of religion and you will find that the world will be a better place.

We are all equal sinners in the sight of God. I don't see most christians as attacking other religions, at most I see us respond to attacks on christianity. The main difference between christians and others, is that we believe in Jesus Christ and that he has saved us from our sins.

As Christians, we are also obligated to spread the good news of Jesus to everyone. Someone once explained it to me this way:

If you saw someone drowning and had a life preserver, you would throw it to them, right? It is then up to the drowning person to grab ahold or ignore it. If they ignore it, we would feel very sad and try to help them another way if possible. But if all attempts are rebuffed, we let them sink.

I'm not sure what you mean by "attacking". I don't think that it is hateful to simply disagree with someone (depends on how one disagrees, I suppose). According to Paul & Peter, a christian should be able to disagree without being disagreeable (I.E.: show some respect for people that you are debating with.). On the other hand, it is not kind to lie to someone and just tell them what they want to hear; that would be the sin of "flattery". Some people get upset at being contradicted, I suppose.

"If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless." James 1:26 [NIV translation]

"Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted." ~The Apostle Paul (Galations 6:1 [NIV])

"Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity."
~The Apostle Paul (I Timothy 5:1,2 [NIV])

"Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth"
~The Apostle Paul (II Timothy 2:23-25 [NIV])

"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander." 1 Peter 1:15,16 [NIV]
