And Hell is where you burn... And it's the complete opposite of Heaven, so...

Then... does that mean everyone in Heaven will freeze their... well, you know what's off?

'Cause I don't like being cold anyway. :)

OK... if you want a serious question...

How about all of you Christians that go around telling us we're going to hell STOP for just one minute, and think about this...

1. It accomplishes not the first damn thing, in fact it only damages your "message" and your cause.

2. We've heard it, like I said, a gazillion times.

3. Because of 1 & 2, continuing to threaten us with hell only makes you look ignorant, prideful, hateful, and just plain stupid.

4. Oh boy! Because of 4, now I REALLY want to be a Christian.

Don't you get it?

Actually I have never told anyone that they are going to hell. My Grandfather was a Baptist preacher. He would say all the time that first we must love then we teach. To love is to give, understand, and try. It's not telling everyone they are going to hell. He preached many messages on "love your neighbor". He also spoke against hatred of any kind. (Gay bashing was on of his pet peeves and he called a few college boys out once for doing just that)

So I suppose it's how you were raised. I was raised that God is love, Jesus is love and I should love like they do. Jesus loved the robbers the murders, he loved the rich the poor and everyone in between.

I'm sorry you have been judged so harshly. Just remember, that to what ever degree that person is judging you........will be the same degree that they get judged by.

Well you must be involved in activity that is against God, otherwise all these people would not be telling you are going to hell.
No where in the bible does it mention heaven is cold. Heaven is referred to as Paradise, probably like the Garden of Eden before the first Sin. MA be its 70-80 degrees all the time-

Hell in the bible is an awful place. The bible describes hell as eternal, sadness, wailing and gnashing of teeth, eternal burning etc.So from the description I will do anything to avoid ever going there and to do that all you have to do is believe in Jesus Christ.
It doesn't matter about anything else other than excepting Jesus and getting forgiveness for your sins. When you do that you will not go to hell---> You can find that promise in the bible under John 3:16

When People preach to you about hell it may sound offensive and harsh and most people do it without love. I am sure when people try to minister to you, you are taking it harshly. No one wants to be told they are going to hell.In fact when I was younger I was a freakazoid and a partier, I had all my family just openly say that I was hell bound and I hated them for that. In fact the more they said it the more I rebelled. However later in life after I totally screwed it up God was the only answer because I was in the dumps. The hell reality did not hit me until I started reading the bible for myself and accepted God-

I am sorry people tell you are going to hell. Only God can dam people to hell. As a Christian I need to deliver the message of Jesus and how God can help you through your life and give you a better one if you believe. I went from being almost homeless to a wonderful life. God gave me a great career, a husband who is very successful and three great kids. Before that I was a whore, drunk, partier, looser, druggie and everything a Christian would dam to hell. However Jesus didn't dam me, because he saved me. My suggestion is just to read the bible for yourself.

The love of Jesus saved me and that's all that matters. Jesus loves you as well and if you give him a chance, he can make your life incredible.

I am sorry to the Christians who have preached to you in haste they are wrong and don't know how to deliver Gods love. Hell is a revelation that will come once you accept Jesus.

I agree the intention is good, but the way it was presented probably will not work effectively. Christians must use the Word of God to demonstrate and explain the benefits of getting saved and going to heaven. The negative aspects of being lost forever, absent from God and spending eternity in hell for not accepting Jesus as the Savior.

I think a person deserves to know the facts of heaven and hell and the truth about both, but condemning someone will not make them want to follow your ways. Peace

I don't know. Most of the things they say we can't do because they're sin's (such as fornication, drugs, taking the lord's name in vain) sound like a lot of fun to me. If we get to do that stuff all the time in hell might not be such a bad place after all.

I have to agree with you that telling someone point blank that they are going to Hell is not a great way of evangelizing.

I am a Christian and would not use that tack. However I will tell you of the hope that I have in me as I believe in Jesus Christ.

ok, i'm a christian and i dont tell anyone they are going to burn in hell. I am not God, and only God can make that decision. I am only responsible for my own actions, and since my "God" gave you free will, i have to respect whatever you do with your free will. So, in light of all this, please accept my apology on behalf of the christians trying to do the right thing, and be whomever you want to be, and try not to hate us all, for we are not all alike.

Those so-called Christians that are pointing fingers at you and saying these things will answer for that also. It is NOT right, it is NOT God's way, to point fingers and tell you you are going to hell. It IS God's way to love you, speak lovingly with you and pray for you. Please don't allow those type of people to cause you to doubt...not all Christians are that way. You deserve a chance to find God in your own way and in your own time in your own journey. Good Grace to you, my friend.
