What are your views on Muslims and why?

I belive that muslims (most but not all) are a backwards, savagage, and very intolerant people/religion.
The reason why is because of 1400 years of war waged in the name of islam.
The reason why is because when you look at almost every muslim majority nation, they are poor, backwards, uneducated, and have no or very little human rights, no or very little freedom of press, religion, etc.
Woman are considered as secondrate beings in islam, i state that because women are only 1/2 the voice of a man in islamic court, one man can marry four wives according to koran but not the other way around, and a muslim man can marry any woman, but a muslim woman can only marry a muslim man
Finally there are thousands of terrorist events done in the name of islam, and while all muslims are not responsible for that, the lack of any serious muslim action (protest) against it is appaling. Even muslims who live freely in the usa and europe do not mount social protests againsts jihadists.
Out of 30 major conflicts on the planet this day, 28 of them involve muslim vs. non-muslims

Muslims all over the world are facing tremendous pressures to leave or change their faith. Even in their own Muslim countries they face severe oppression by western related dictators; many jobs are closed to them and they are prevented from freedom of speech. If true Islam prevails the world will be a better place to live in as Islam is the religion of justice and human rights. The continued propaganda against Muslims and Islam to presents them as terrorist will ultimately adversely affect every human both in this life and the eternal life. Remember that Islam alone did successfully eradicate poverty from the Islamic state when it was extending from India in the east to Morocco in the west. No single needy citizen (not only Muslims but also Jews and Christians) was found in this widely spread state at the time of Omar ibn Abdl Alaziz, so how can we compare this to any other system?

I sent off for a copy of the Qur'an from an organization in Washington D.C. about 5 months ago and received a beautifully bound hard cover copy yesterday at no charge. There's a very nice person from Pakistan that I chat with from time to time. These are my only two sources of knowledge about the Muslim religion, and I plan to learn more.

I tend to view people as individuals rather than by their culture, skin tone, geography, or religion. I believe that most human beings want essentially the same things, and that most people prefer being at peace over being at war.

Regarding Muslim vs. Western leadership I don't think our U.S. President has set a shining example for anyone to look up to, and our sensationalist media seeks only incite further anger amongst the American people towards the Middle East.

Being muslims we worship one God i.e Allah. We are peaceful. No Muslim country has aggression against other countries. Muslims are not terrorists. We respect others and so demand the same. we can't play active role in world politics as we are backword in Science & Technology. We have no Daissy Cutter Bombs to Kill Innocent people, nor Tomahawk or F18s or nuclear coated bullets as others have. We want peace and harmony among all People of the world as three major Religions gain their Roots from Hazrat Ibrahim, peace be upon him.

There is nothing wrong with Muslims. It's just a few Muslims -a very smal minority- that made a bad name for the rest. Not all Muslims are terrorists and should not be classified as such.

I like Muslims better than Christians. I rarely see Muslims forming prayer circles in the middle of the halls in High Schools, protesting at abortion clinics, and going out and telling epople that they are going to burn if they don't follow their way.

Muslims are by far one of the msot peaceful religions, and Americans and the West just don't get it because of ignorance and propaganda

I think Muslims are nice people. It's the way they were brought up. Most of them just don't like us. Hopefully, we can all get along and end the war. It would be really nice if they would believe in God than Allah. More people would go to Heaven.

Like in any other religion there are good and evil characters. But the community as a whole supports the religious fanatics silently. Else, terrorism would have flourished to this extent.

My thoughts are this...those terrorists that claim to be Muslim, arent true Muslims...They believe in death, and war, while true Muslims believe in peace and harmony...I know many Muslims, and they are the best people I have ever known

Islam is a beautiful religion that teaches love, compassion, brotherhood, and surrender to God. the true Muslim path will lead its adherents to a good life if they hear and understand its meaning.
