Don't name the following though, because they ended up being mistakes or hoaxes.
Piltdown Man - A deliberate hoax. Ended up being a ape jaw attached to a human skull that was stained to look old.

Java Man - The discover later rejected it stating that a human & ape were just found in proximity.

Pekeing Man - Tools & human bones were found near the apes whose brains they were eating (monkey brains are still eaten in China).

Nebraska Man - An entire person (and family) was envisioned from a single tooth... a tooth that later proved to have come from a pig.

Lucy - Reclassified as an extinct ape.

Ramapithecus - A jaw & teeth were eventually dismissed as early human in origin (an Orangutan).

I was told by a Christian that everything is fated: We are fated to been born as a boy/girl; Fated to be born as a human; Fated to experience what we have gone through in the past.. Is that true? Is really true that everything is fated, instead of yourself decide everything which is going to happen?

I can't remember where I posted my comment before, but earlier I proclaimed there was an instance in the Bible where Saul, before he became the apostle Paul, persecuted the early Christian Church because he thought he was doing God's work. Another poster who I suppose was a Christian denied there was any such passage that indicated that Paul thought he was doing God's work. In any case this citation was supposed to illustrate just how wrong you can be about what you think Spiritual truth is. It is all too easy to be a modern day Pharisee closing our hearts to new ideas because of tradition and or intellectual attachment. Revelation, not necessary by a vision, is one way truth can be found. I only hope we will all be open to it, including yours truly.

In other word, what does it mean that God predistined us or foreknew? Do my decisions in life, my way of doing things change what God has already decided will happen concerning my life? I s there something I can do to change what God has decided? Or can God change what he has decided based on my actions?

Hypothetical Situation: You are driving through the parking lot at your local Walmart. You spot a hispanic family that has a sign asking for money or food. You as a Christian know that it is God's will to help them. You invite them in to your home and provide a meal and hospitality. You give them some money for gas and send them on their way. Just before leaving, they tell you they are in the USA illegally. What would you do?

Moses taught his followers God's Name. He told them to call on it and to use it. Moses taught that this Name is God's forever. It is an important Name.

Exodus 3:15
"God, furthermore, said to Moses, "Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, 'YaHWeH, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you ' This is My name forever, and this is My memorial-name to all generations."

The words "allah", "god", "elohim", "lord" or any equivalent are not names of God no matter how much somebody believes them to be. "Allah" is the English eqivalent of the word "God". That is not a name but a word to describe what the supreme being is in relation to His creation.
God revealed what His Name is to Moses. Each prophet of God after Moses used the Name of God and taught it to their followers. Yet Muhammad does not mention it. Muhammad does not teach his followers the Name of God. It is one of the signs that shows Muhammad to be a true prophet.

This question is directed to agnostics and atheists; a response of " my children are proof" or "Pray, read the bible" is not viable proof, so please leave it out of the answers to my question.

WEll i found out today my boyfriend thinks im boring cause im a christian and i love god. So my brother went on and start acting differnet from me, like cursing(which i would never) and this girl had no God or purity in her life at all! and my boyfriend said he liked me like that, cause i dont care about God.

Why would a guy like that i curse, and slutty? other than the nice, classy girl who would be faithful?

I have found, that if you are openly Christian nobody will think twice about you, or think you are a bad person. But when you'e Atheist, you can't be open about it. We are pretty much destined to be quiet about or 'religion' if you even want to call it that. i wanna know, will Atheists ever be accepted in our society, and can we, one day, be open about our religion and not be frowned upon?

yes, I'm only 13.
