I am not a judge but I am a helper because that is what God wants me to be. Let God be the judge. Anyway, I am not American so it would mean nothing to me. If I was, I would not report someone for asking for assistance. They did not ask for trouble; just help. Thank you for your question.

I don't think I would turn them in. My view on immigration is that we should greatly increase the legal allowance while securing the border. Sending back the ones that are already here is another matter. Each of these 3 different strategies can be done or not done independent of the others. By the way realisticlly, I would probably not invite them into my home. I have bought meals before but so far have not brought them home. I never checked to see if anyone was illegal. Since I live in South Texas it is possible.

I, most certainly, would help them since that is definitely the Christian thing to do. The Bible even says to invite poor people to your feasts; people who could never be able to pay back and you would have your reward in God's kingdom and be able to live on a paradise earth as the Bible promises to us at Psalms 37:9-11 and so many other places.
It would not be the Christian thing to do to cause harm to another. Maybe those people are studying for citizenship. Maybe theya re going to go back home and tell people how nice the Americans are.
Would Jesus go running to the authorities? No. He would say "Go your way, and sin no more." I think they will get caught, but I would have too much mercy on them to turn them in.

There are plenty of ways to feed someone without taking them to your home. That is not wise today. You do whatever is on your heart.
How could God put this on a Christian's heart to help someone that is illegal?
This....God will not do, my friend. BUT......
This is a matter of interpretation. Right?

If someone came to you & you were a christian & they were looking to arrest all christians & put them in jail. Would you be honest with them & say I'm a christian arrest me? I would think not. A smart person would be quiet about it.
If you know of someone who is a danger to you or this country then by all means report them!

Doesn't matter, immigration won't do anything about it anyway.
I wonder what people of other religions or nonreligion would do. Isn't helping people out as well as abiding the law a universal thing?

Nothing. A lot of immigrants are here illegally. I would just tell them, "Good luck. I hope La Migra doesn't catch you!." I am not a snitch so I would not tell on them.

Helping others with basic needs has nothing to do with where someone comes from or what they have done wrong. We are called to clothe and feed, etc by Christ himself.
