Hello there.

I've just turned 20 a few days ago, and with a new decade ahead of me, I want to really move forward in my life, academically, socially and in terms of motivation. The thing is, I'm just so lazy! I go to work and I work hard, but when at home I'm so unbearably lazy, I can't get anything done.

One of the problems I had was me failing my A-levels as even though I had perfect attendance and always turned in work, I slacked off revision as I felt I lacked direction and motivation. My laid back disposition has caused enough trouble you see.

I know someone is going to think "get off your butt and do something about it!" Thats what I try and do, though it only works in the short term. Anybody have any tips to avoid being lazy for long periods of time?

I'm just too much of a slacker, perhaps my inability to overcome my laziness only proves how lazy I am :P

Anybody got any pointers or advice?

Thanks in advance.

How do you feel about so called motivational speakers? Do you think their just out to make money? Would you pay to see one? Which ones do like or dislike? I can't help but feel that all a lot of them push is a glorified version of common sense.

Ive tried, and yet I don't see myself as handsome, good looking, or much of anything. Ive done everything, Ive changed my friends, boughten expensive clothes, work out all the time, whiten my teeth, feed to my every insecurity, and pretended to be happy,. I don't like who I am, yet I feel I need "theses people", my low self esteem has caused me to not trust anyone, and how can I. Mostly everyone see's me as a happy, excentric person, but I'm dying inside, I feel alone and sad, but I'm also gay and I feel like it has led to all theses insecurities, how can I gain self esteem, I know I'm a fake person at skool, but in reality, I feel aweful. May some one please tell me how I can gain some confidence,. I feel really down,. :(

I go from feeling completely hopeless and depressed to feeling hyper and happy with my life. Each feeling will last for a couple of days, with periods of gray in between. Is this normal for someone in their late teens?

By the way - I've seen a psychologist in the past, and I will again if I need to, but I wanted to get some input first.

i know a 20 year old girl who has been having sex since she was about 5 years old and to this day is still having sex like 2-3 times a day. she has had sex with mostly girls as a child and a few men as she got older. but as she got older she stop having sex with women. now she jus mostly masturbates and fools around with a few men. this is not me, for all the nosey people and stuff. this question was presented in a discussion. what could be driving this sexual need? could something have happened to her in the past?

Or your kids? I’m kind of in that situation, and so is my friend, hers is worse than mine but it’s the same, we can’t break free because our husbands are the bread winners. Mine makes me stay home, my friend chose to stay home and now regrets it.

I have some family members who are the same way, my sisters husband as a “wondering eye” and my other sister did finally leave her hubby (after 16 yrs) and now she and her son are stuck at my mom’s house with no real way to get afloat.

I was wondering How many other’s are there? Are you a housewife and stay in a bad relationship because of finances? How many others do you think there are?

This man and I in love for 4 years. We separated because I moved to different states. We kept in touch as friends; however, we do hope to get back together one day.

Recently, he wrote two poems about move on for our future. I asked him for the truth, but he did not want to tell me. (I asked him 4 times, but he ignored me)

I fed up and want us to move on (if he no longer love me). I removed him from my friendlist. Yesterday, I looked at his myspace pages, he is still posting all the poems he wrote for me. His status is also still "in a relationship".

I miss him so much, therefore, I added him as a friend again. He did not accept my friend request.

Why can he tell me the truth? Does he still love me?

Thank you so much for your kindness.

My travels to England and my experiences with English people is one of constant distance. There was a group of people who went around hugging the brits (almost for a joke) a year ago. Are these the COLDEST people in the world. Intellect no common sense, civility as opposed to kindness. What do you think? I'd love someone to change my mind.

I am going to be doing a research paper on a pregenant woman who is a heavy user of Meth, how this drug effects her babys personality and development just because his or her Mom used Meth. My teacher wants us to be specific, so how much does a person need to be doing daily to be considered a "heavy user" and any other information would be really helpful.
Thanks

There is a woman working in the same office I work with. She keeps criticizing me in my face. Especially my clothes. I have a nice body and I like wearing colorful dresses, and tops. She claims that it is too young for me, or, that my tighter clothes are "too small - get a bigger size" remarks.
I think she is insane so I ignore her, or just say "thank you for the input, I actually think I look good in this dress" and then ignore her.
I feel very comfortable with my clothes but this woman annoys me. Any idea what to say to neutralize her comments?

People like Adolf Hitler -- these are sadists. Then there are masochists. Masochists don't do much harm, they only do harm to themselves. Sadists do tremendous harm because their joy is in torturing others. But the greatest harm is done by sado-masochists.

Is Mahatma Gandhi is a sado-masochist who tortures himself; and that torturing himself gives him the authority to torture you.

Here's one i picked up on Answers: A blind man walks into a store with his seeing eye dog. All of a sudden, he picks up the leash and begins swinging the dog over his head. The manager runs up to the man and asks, "What are you doing?!!" The blind man replies, "Just looking around."

If this actually happened it it would not be funny and would start some serious violence and police. But on paper, on screen or stage, it is funny to many people. Always has and always will be. What is the psychological trigger?
