It depends on who 'you' are!

The ego wants to believe it is immortal, so creates the safety of life after death / heaven / etc. The biggest crime is when religion uses the promise of an afterlife in the future to control and restrict people now.

If 'you' truly transcend your ego and the way you define yourself, your journey will probably lead you down some spiritual path. The danger here, again, is some ‘enlightened ego’ will give you their answers.

My answer, having had a near death experience, and done most of the above is a simple one: there is no afterlife for egos, bodies, minds, brains.

The energy that is our soul / spirit / essence is returned / reunited with something much greater that our minds can ever fathom. I'm happy not to know, but to trust, let go and experience the death of my body (again!) when it happens.

In pondering "Life after Death" - the most important thing is not to forget to live now and enjoy it - 'you' won’t get another chance!

PS How do you know when you are enlightened? When you have no more questions!

If there is such a thing, you can't choose whatever type of life it might be, so its really of little consequence what you think.

If no such thing exists, well its still of no consequence what you think.

I'd like to believe that there was life before death, but Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, Ken Livingstone and all their ilk seem to be determined to prove otherwise.

We've ALWAYS known this: "ashes to ashes, dust to dust" - so what could "life after death" be - I'd be looking out for other answers cuz there seems to be more than just one belief about this ? What are we supposed to think.

I dont believe in god or anything but i believe in ghosts. I have a memorie/picture in my head of a little girl kneeling down tieing her shoelace in a old bedroom i dont no where its from but my friends think that it could of been a memorie from a life before. I think when you die you become a ghost/spirit. i dont believe that you come back as someone else or an animal even if i have wierd old pictures in my brain! lol

If you believe in God, you must therefore believe that there's life after death, everlasting life.
