That never even happened in the first place.

From the time Eve was created that was a marriage. We only know marriage ceremonially, when in the Bible marriage is the act of sex. Paul just says it would be good to let the world know you were married and that is what you do. Not that you have sex then get married. Marry first then have sex. We were created to answer questions in the great controversy. How God can take the human race from so low in sin to exhalt them with Him!!!! So yes the very first marriage was Adam and Eve. Paul said in Ephesians 5:32, this is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. When couples get together it is to represent the relationship between Christ and the church. Not that God forces Christians to marry, cause Paul was single, but that is because of sin. Without sin everyman would have a wife and every woman a husband.

God did inspire Paul to write: "it is better to get married than to burn with lust like the heathens" - (my paraphrase). As for Adam and Eve, typically, marriage is a civil or legal agreement. Not having a legal system, leaves the question remaining in that unique case. Moses wrote laws regarding marriage and divorce. A good concordence (index of all the words in the bible) can help you find all the occurences of marriage if you want.

I'm not sure the word 'marry' as you use it is in scripture. It speaks of taking a wife and being a husband and being given in marriage and attending a wedding feast, explaining what those should mean to us. Legal marriage and divorce is about property rights, not God. You see, in the spiritual sense, it doesn't matter if you go to the court house and buy a license; as soon as two become one, either in heart, mind or body, a 'marriage' is consummated. Bet you never thought of it that way.

Westerners have a saying "marriages are made
in heaven". They also have the concept of
soulmate.

Edgar Cayce on Spiritual Soul Mates - Many sources of psychic information and other metaphysical teachings have proposed concepts such as "soul mate" and "twin soul." The Cayce readings, although simultaneously raising some provocative questions, do shed some light on this topic.

It is not uncommon for Indians in America to go through marriages arranged by their parents or relatives back home. "There is a sense of duty in it," says Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni, the author of "Arranged Marriage," a collection of short stories. Part of it has to do with Hindu philosophy, which says you will marry the person you were destined to marry, she says. (Divakaruni's own karmic destiny was unconventional: She married the man she fell in love with during her graduate studies.) Arranged marriages, she says, give some people the feeling that they are very much tied to traditional Hinduism.

It is believed that marriage occurs through destiny and is the building of a relationship between two families, where not only the couple, but the other members of the two families also contribute to make it a wholesome relationship.

In Hinduism, "Runa anubandha rupenam pasu patni suta aalaya" as
the sloka says. The members of the family are
related to each other through several births. The
Hindu Sastra dictum "Janma janma bandham" also
indicates the same thing. This family sentiment is
the life thread of Hindutwa.

Yes, He did. The Bible thought is that we remain single without having sex or we marry and have sex and children. Jesus also said it had not changed for four thousand years. The Apostle Paul even committed on this in 1 Corthians chapter 6.

Wedding ceremonites are different in different countries.
Some countries they just take the bride home and that constitutes marriage. God had a cermoney where he said that she was to leave or he was and the two would become one flesh. Since they were the only ones to hear it why did it have to be this lengthy service?
Go to Nevada and you can get married without getting out of your car.

In Judaism and Christianity, marriage outside of sex is forbidden. As Paul said, "It's better to marry than to burn." In Christian traditions, sexual desire is an obstacle to understanding God's grace. If one cannot live a life of total celibacy, the only sanctioned choice is to marry and remain in a monogamous relationship.

1Now for the matters you wrote about: It is good for a man not to marry.[a] 2But since there is so much immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband. 3The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. 4The wife's body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband. In the same way, the husband's body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife. 5Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. 6I say this as a concession, not as a command. 7I wish that all men were as I am. But each man has his own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that.
8Now to the unmarried and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I am. 9But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.
