if someone is being constantly condescending to you at work, is this a form of bullying?? someone i work with is constantly critiscising the way i work, also feel like i am ignored and not included as part of the team. i feel like crap because of this and dread going into work, ive seen my boss about this but it seems like he's siding with them. what can i do or who can i speak to about it??

This thing about things being kamp or kish, or really ugly, so ugly it's beutyfull. I hate the film The Yellow Brick Road with Judy Garland. I think it's kish, camp, gordy and horribly pretencious. I've told friends what I think about the film and they've agreed but said "that's what's so wonderful about it." I really, honestly don't understand that. I think it's to do with fadishness???

I am new here & already posted this. When I logged back in it told me to choose the best answer, which closed the question to new answers. Sorry, I'm learning & this was my 1st ?

Why would someone allow & encourage their partner to have sex with someone else?
What kind of person would not only ALLOW, but be turned on by the idea of their partner being with someone else? This person wants to hear details of past lovers during sex & orgasms easier when their partner is talking about other partners. They are encouraging their partner to be with someone else, or even have an affair-so they can either watch, or at least hear all about it. I am a psychology major, but I don't have an answer for this one. Anyone? Thanks in advance.

My ex boyfriend have been manipulated me for 3 years. He wanted to move on with his future. After asking him a few time for the truth, but no answer from him. I wrote this to him:

Hi Hun,

I am sorry to annoy you again. I just want to say "Good Bye" My dream is over and it's time for me to wake up.

I do not angry at you at all. Actually, I want to thank you for everything. Well, I am now going to focus on the future ( work and school). Hopefully, I find someone I really like and be able to open up to him :)

I wish you all the best also. You are a great person. I am sure you will be successful one day. Keep up the good work Hun :)

Thank you,

ME

*****
He was upset and blocked me from his website. I know I am doing the right things.

He did not tell me the truth---Why he so upset?

Thank you so much for your kindness

in place of what is the ' actual' reality, the way things really stand, and the way the world really is?

for example if you were to remove the establishment, the government, the media, advertizing, papers, magazine, there was no tv, nobody to enforce or govern....
would we then se the 'real' world, how it really stands?
but instead we have an artificial reality and subliminal messages put in are way to govern are lifes, to tell us how to conform, how things are, what to wear, how to act, how you should think...possibally distorting life and the way the world actually is..
another example you stand gazing at the world and its wonders..forming your own, independant thought...which is the way it ought to be, but then imagine giant screens coming down around you, blocking your view, showing you continous advertizements....posters and billboards and signs been constructed around you...telling you this and that..graadually you focus is cloudly & your imposed upon by the establishments

Why am I such a failure. I have few friends, I am clumsy, not good at sports, and overall sad. People, including my Mom, are always putting me down and treating me with disrespect. This is sad because I try to be really kind and I try my best at everything I do.
Please answer and tell me how I can make my life better.
Thanks

I need to outline the sociological and psycological defention of addiction, and include any other information relevant to drug addiction.

The presentaton needs to take10 minutes, and can include any film.tv snippets that could be relevant, also any advertisments, opinions, quotes or especially peoples personal experiences would be handy.

These can be experiences of either being a drug addict in the past or present, or even family, friends or people who have dealt/ worked with addicts.

Information on behaviours, habits , effects on their lives etc would be interesting and useful for my study.

thanks for all your help :)

Billy was the third of loving but busy parents. When he was growing up, he thought that his parents favored his older siblings. When Billy was four, his parents divorced, and he remained with his father. His brother .and sister moved with his mother to a distant city. Billy rarely saw them. Feeling inadequate in raising his son alone, Billy’s father responded by providing the child with costly toys and frequent trips to amusement parks. As Billy grew older and attended school, he had trouble focusing and was taken to a doctor for an appraisal of his abilities and disabilities. Billy’s medical evaluation showed symptoms of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, but Billy’s father dismissed the diagnosis. Because of these difficulties in school, Billy had trouble making friends and was ridiculed by his classmates. This diminished his self-confidence. By the time Billy was an adolescent, he had difficulty forming lasting relationships despite his expertise in athletics. He was capable of high academic achievement, but his grades were below average. Teacher reports frequently cited his excessive need for attention, he felt lost and doomed to failure.

I’ve got a challenge for you guys, try answering the following questions from a humanist approach, Psychoanalytical approach, behaviorist approach, cognitive approach, and a biological approach based on the case study above.

1) What is the basic cause of Billy’s problems?
2) What will happen to Billy?
3) What steps could Billy take to improve his life????

Remember, Psychoanalytical approach emphasizes that a person’s behavior is determined by primal drives and the experiences of early childhood. Behaviorist approach emphasizes the connection between stimulus/response and behavior/reward. Also, that a person’s behavior is determined by the actions that were rewarded or punished. Cognitive approach emphasizes that a person’s difficulties often stem from false perceptions of reality. Biological Approach emphasizes the genetic, medical, and neurological components of the person. Theorists believe that theses biological factors influence behavior. Hormonal changes, brain anomalies, and neurochemical differences help determine a person’s actions and subsequent changes in behavior.

I am curious why would he deny any childhood issues. He is insecure, has trouble with expressing anger, defensive, demanding, etc. We know that our behavioural issues stem from our childhood. Okay, I know his parents and I really like them. One observation I made was that his mom is totally "emotionally flat" (his sister confirmed that their mom showed little compassion/affection towards them). His dad once hit his grandchild with a newspaper on the head for a joke (I witnessed it). Other than that - nothing. Isn't it bizzarre? I am no wallflower, but still trying to figure out how come he turned out to kick me in the butt. Should I be scared? I have to say that our relationship has from bad to death and I constantly worry "will he kick me again or not", "should I be scared or is it a one-off"? Help!
