i don't know why. their eyes seem to glaze over, they look sleepy and sometimes they yawn. it happens even at the first few sentences we speak. and i swear i wasn't droning on about stuff. it;s like the connection between us dies and we fall asleep. or is it just my own perception or imagination?

how do I stop ppl from getting sleepy from talking to me?

You are boring and do not engage them enough in the conversation. Do you give them an opportunity to get in a word edgewise? Do you give them an opportunity to reflect and ask questions about what you say? Do you give them an opportunity to give their own opinion?

Maybe you are just giving a monologue that people feel they are not a part of.

Interesting question. I would ask them questions, learn more about them. Even if you're not 'droning on', maybe they're not interested because you aren't engaged in them either.

Try to get involved more. If you think you're losing them, maybe ask them what they're into or what the last movie they saw was. Bring up a random topic and see if they add to it. Nothing is more exhausting than suffering through a boring 'date' or whatever the situation may be.

in all honesty, it might be your voice. i have a cousin whos voice actually makes people tired. it does not matter what she is talking about, or how she is talking about it. i for one, can not lok at her when she is talking to me. i have to look the other way. she no longer gets offended when people yawn when she is talking, she just laughs it off. she knows it is going to happen. people have actually asked her over to their house to talk so the kids would fall asleep. lol
