I am new here & already posted this. When I logged back in it told me to choose the best answer, which closed the question to new answers. Sorry, I'm learning & this was my 1st ?

Why would someone allow & encourage their partner to have sex with someone else?
What kind of person would not only ALLOW, but be turned on by the idea of their partner being with someone else? This person wants to hear details of past lovers during sex & orgasms easier when their partner is talking about other partners. They are encouraging their partner to be with someone else, or even have an affair-so they can either watch, or at least hear all about it. I am a psychology major, but I don't have an answer for this one. Anyone? Thanks in advance.

Possibly because that partner has been abused as a child or has a childhood with cheating parents. Another reason could be because of the social taboo, that it's forbidden and discouraged, giving that partner a rush of excitement.

Simply put, the guy or gal is both a pervert and a sex addict.
He/she needs help and this is something you cannot and will not tollerate in your relationship. It's sick. The very meaning
of marriage is exclucivity and faithfulness. "Sharing" is not an option for anyone desiring to live out their long lives together!
Sounds like his primary motivation in life is one big turn-on after another.
