i don't know why. their eyes seem to glaze over, they look sleepy and sometimes they yawn. it happens even at the first few sentences we speak. i will understand if i gave a long lecture but no i did not even get to do that. it;s like the connection between us dies and we fall asleep. or is it just my own perception or imagination? sometimes maybe i am just afriad i am boring and i'm afraid to talk too much and so this sleepiness is created. how can i make the conversation lively and full of energy?

Focus the conversation on them, and stay quiet long enough to let them speak. Everyone loves a stage, so let them be on stage about themselves. They'll never look sleepy again. God Bless you.

Most people I know seem to think it's excruciating to listen to a 'real' person talk, and I think it's just because they're so used to the exaggerated liveliness of television personalities and the unrealistic high-energy movie and video characters, that their own family and acquaintances seem very slow and boring in contrast. I've pretty much given up trying to talk to people, and have become a very good listener instead - by default! I don't know if it's worth it to try to change your personality to match the times, but if you wanted to, I notice that a lot of people try to mimic what they see onscreen, and that seems to get good results!

Ask them questions. Most people really just want to talk about themselves. If you actually listen and ask little informative questions along the way, you will be a hit and become the most interesting person in their circle.
How do I know this?
Yawn.

Try to go to church and observe how pastors do the sermon. Most pastors insert a little jokes here and there to wake people up when they notice people start to feel bored. Can you imagine an hour of one way conversation inside the church? It could get boring to some people but jokes, clean jokes can make people excited and feel interested with your speaches.

make sure you are not dong all the talking. make it a two way conversation. i get that way if the person i am talking to does not give me a chance to say two words. talk about things that are interesting like politics or music..
