Hello, I'm 16 years old. turning 17 on March :D
Well on August the 20th,I started my junior year.I have two honor classes American History & English 3.Now,I would like to have a safe non-stressful year. Here's what I will like to accomplish and stay focus on:

Maintaining Good grades
Focusing on out of high-school plans(What to pursue, which college or university? Scholarships, grants etc..)
Enrich Vocabulary/Grammar
Gain improvement in general knowledge/wisdom towards things.(Learn how to pay bills, etc)
Gain improvement in mathematics (math phobia/LD)
And hopefully finish my retake geometry night-school course.
And Community Service.

Other than that is there anything else I should focus on?On my senior year,I will hopefully learn to drive. How can I break down all these things in pieces so i won't get stressed and give up on school.I just want to succeed =/

Thanks in advance!

People sleepwalk all the time and do unintentional things so what prevents one from unintentionally killing someone or doing something bad while they are sleeping?

Neighbors moved in last year & we were fast friends. One nite "Pam & Dick" came to celebrate. All had a great time, had several drinks & I said how great it was to have friends who loved & had no issues. They made a liar out of me!Dick left a earlier than Pam & we went to see what he was doing. He went home & drove off.Next morning Pam called early crying. He came home & beat her!She called the law & he was arrested.Other neighbors & I came to her rescue. We spent time wondering why. I asked if he did this B4 she said yes & I asked how often, she replied enough.A restraining order gave her a week.He called her & told her that it was MY fault! He returned early. My husband came home he told me he was over there(I can't see).I didnt call her.I didn't want to start any trouble & thought they might be working things out.arrested again for violating the order - he blamed me!Now she started sneaking over & I worry he'll find out.I cringe every time I see her coming but she needs hugs & kindness!

Maybe I should have asked, "Are you a cynic and why?" Has all the spam and wild claims of advertising made us not believe in anything anymore? There is research out now that will revolutionize the world, so all the news isn't bad. The only problem is, it's not in the news, proving the old adage, "No news is good news." By the time good news reaches people it's not really new anyway, but presented as a 'new' discovery. Anything good though is so picked apart by readers not even the carcass is left. How can we change this to where people listen before they leap? Of course the skeptic will say, with not so antisceptic words, "We don't have to change anything." Isn't that fatalism and isn't that a self fulfilling prohecy? That's too many questions. Let's put it to one question, "Does anyone have any good news?"

the "checklist" for psychopathy:

* 1. Superficial charm and above average intelligence.
* 2. Absence of delusions and other signs of irrational thinking.
* 3. Absence of nervousness or neurotic manifestations.
* 4. Unreliability.
* 5. Untruthfulness and insincerity.
* 6. Lack of remorse or shame.
* 7. Antisocial behavior without apparent compunction.
* 8. Poor judgment and failure to learn from experience.
* 9. Pathological egocentricity and incapacity to love.
* 10. General poverty in major affective reactions.
* 11. Specific loss of insight.
* 12. Unresponsiveness in general interpersonal relations.
* 13. Fantastic and uninviting behavior with drink
* 14. Suicide threats rarely carried out.
* 15. Sex life impersonal, trivial, and poorly integrated.
* 16. Failure to follow any life plan.

is there a catagory for which a person can make rational decitions, life plan, reliablity but follow the rest of the checklist?

do you pretend they didnt?
or say something back to them, like tell them you found what they said offensive.
Its even worse when people are so blunt to you when other people are there.
also how do you react to the person ,in the future-stay away,or purposely insult them?
I am confused because I dont know how to be to someone who has I feel insulted me,but has also done a lot for me in the past.

I am in my third year of college (still a sophomore, went part time in the beginning) and am feeling very anxious and worried. I am studing to be a special ed. teacher, and I really am determined but I am letting other people effect my progress. I feel like I should be in a career with kids at 27, not going back to school to begin a teaching career. I don't want this to ruin the progress I have already made. Any advice and motivaitonal words would be apprieciated.

Can anyone please tell me how to hypnotize someone quickly- minus the whole relaxation thing, seconds, not minutes. I'm not talking about a misconception of hypnosis or anything, I know that it IS possible to hypnotize someone in seconds. Also, if you could tell me how to be instantly put into a deep trance free, such as a download or something, it would be truly appreciated. I don't need to quit smoking or anything; it's just for the experience.

So when you need help and there's no one there, because you have always had the answers and you are the one everyone depends on. Where do you go for help? Parents are very old and actually part of the problem and religion is out.

I was born Friday Feb the 13th...I am an Aquarius.

Anyway through my life I have often set aside instead of trying to join a click, or if I got turned down I wouldnt keep trying and trying to be their friends. I automatically switched to enemies...I act nice and everything to their face, but I plot and just wait for something to happen to where I can make a move.

I was ontop of the world when i dropped out of highschool, and I partied, had alot of friends, had a girl I was having sex with, I had everything I wanted. Then it all stopped after a DUI. I literally stopped hanging out with all these random people, and I just smoked alot of weed. All these people looked up to me and I know they wanted to be me. But then after that I guess I lost confidence and kind of let people walk over me because I felt alone, and I feel like I dont have any back up.

How can I make my life good again?!?! I havent dated in 3 years and im 20....this really sucks. I am joining the Marines soon too.

Or just people in general I suppose. Without a doubt, people know that they may get arrested and go to jail from doing something that's illegal, such a murder, but do they really take the death penalty into consideration?

The reason I ask is because I question if the death penalty actually works a large percentage of the time as it's supposed to. Don't people think a life sentence is perhaps not equally undesirable but nevertheless extremely undesirable?

Some form of punishment is without a doubt necessary...but is the death penalty actually effective?

I had gotten together with my kennel partner today and her brother was over, he had a friend with him. Well, being myself, Im not all too fond of the USA, its a good country, dont get me wrong, but I dont quite 'belong' to put it nicely. Anyhow, her brothers' friend and myself got into a debate about war and the fact he hates deutschland..that set me off. He started pushing buttons, he is -very- proud of his country, moreso than any American Ive met, and he thinks everyone is this way. So, to ease my mind Ive come here to ask how many that live in their country take so much pride in it that they would not only research its accomplishments but hate another country from researching? Or, easily put, have a strong passion for 'their' country.
