People sleepwalk all the time and do unintentional things so what prevents one from unintentionally killing someone or doing something bad while they are sleeping?

This was on the Discovery channel. Most people do not sleep walk. You have a chemical make up when you sleep that prevents you from getting up and doing crazy things. The few who do and its very very few do not have the chemical reaction to protect them while they are sleeping.

I don't know, but i have had two children who have sleep walked. and a friend who is an adult who does. She carries on conversations, and does chores .. then, goes back into bed. her family said has for years.. it's weird..
