A lot of people think I am lazy but I wasn't always so idle. I have gone through a divorce (husband left for someone else), NASTY custody battle, I am BROKE no matter how hard I work because I pay for daycare, I'm sick a lot, I am living with my mom and mean-@ss step-dad until the divorce is final. I am sad all the time. I do take good care of my kids but that's about it. I don't feel like doing anything anymore. My mom talks about me being lazy and that makes me feel even worse. I feel like I am on the verge of dying from all this sorrow. Am I just lazy and making excuses?? How can I brake free from this?

really or was this a mind over matter thing?

I just asked another question about coping with extreme anxiety and fear of life (Ironically, 6 years ago I was the most spontaneous outgoing, socialite with heaps of freinds - not now) It may pay to read that so you know what Im on about here..

Anyways the other day my daughter went back to school from holidays. I hate being away from her - I worry I will get a phone call. Since we got a phone call on boxing day just gone saying my grandmother passed suddenly, I have attacks everytime the phone rings, thinking it will bring bad news.

Anyways I felt like I was dying all day - about an hour before she came home -I picked up a pen and paper and wrote a page of stuff like:

I am good enough,
I can do things
there is nothing to be scared of
I will not live in fear
I am a beautiful
I can do anything I want to do in life
there is no reason to be scared

And things like that...

For about an hour or so after that.. (cont)

I get them now and then when I listen to a song or are reminded of a place by something. I love them, I hate them, they're great, no matter what memory, sometimes they're stupid. Post some of your nostalgic memories. One of mine is last winter, when I went to Russia for two weeks [I usually go in the summer] and it was just soo great.

For me, It's usually 1 to 4 hours. You could call it insomnia. Mostly it's because I think at night. I make up things in my head and watch them, I read, or I write a chapter in the book I've been working on.A twisted story really......
But that's not the point. How long does it take for you to fall asleep?

Other than opening a can of whip ***, i want to really show them that I dont need to result to childish behavior to do anything, that If I have an issue with somebody, I talk it out and resolve it. I am trying to stay out of the way, make myself invisable, and just let the comments pass, but I gotta stand up for myself someway. Any ideas ? Please only serious replys.

How do people deal with regrets? Its not the same as remorse, where your sad because you lost someone, is it? What is regret anyway? Is it something like feeling bad about things ,usually mistakes, done in the past? How do you get rid of it? Why do we regret the things we've done, when we know that its in the past and we cant change it?
Aw man there are so many things i regret, but i cant change the things ive done in the past, were not suppost to. I might be too scared to settle some things that other people might have let go of by now.

Do you agree with Kruger and Dunning that as an individual's level of competency goes down their level of confidence goes up? This would mean that the most incompetent people are the ones that are the most confident they are good at what they do.

More than once in my life, actually very often, I get this overwhelming feeling about people/ places. I get chills and I physically/ emotionally interupted. I get a very concious feeling about things often, sometimes in dreams and alot of times I have such a moving (emotional) feeling that tears water my eyes up. Sometimes I can think my way out of it and sometimes I just go with it. Am I a nut or are these of a physic nature?

I'm a very forgetful person. Are there any ways to help me remember things/jog my memory? It's kinda embarrassing, but I can't remember where I put down my iPod. I'm SURE it's in the house.

OK

My wife and I have a 1.5 yo daughter. She is very active at home and knows most of her ABCs and 123s. She is both physically and mentally active. But once she gets outside of the house and see people it’s a whole different story. When my wife and I try to get her to play with different kids she shys away and runs back to either me or my wife. If I continue to push her to play with kids she will eventually cry. I notice when she does see new kids she looks at them almost like she is looking at a ghost or Alien. She does have some friends though. However, she has to see them a long time before she gets adjusted and feels comfortable with them. I’m kind of concerned she may have some very light form of autism or aspergers. I’m thinking this because I was similar all the way though high school till this day.

My wife had signed her up for ballet class this Spring. This class contains around 10 young children of 3 and up. The class meets once a week for about 1 hour.

ok i have been in band for about 4 yrs and i used to really like it but now it seems more like a job. and anyone whos in band knows that its a HUGE commitment and i dont think i want to waste my time like that anymore since i have all honors and A.P. classes and my career has nothing to do with music.

Although people say that by being in band looks better to colleges and i could get scholarships by being in it but then again i cant really get them if im just an average player right?Overall i really invested thousands of dollars into it and lost almost all my friend (outside of band ) just to be in it and i'd hate to think it was all for nothing ya know. surprizingly though i still like being in it but i dont at the same time
most people say that i should probly coast for a year and make my choice then , what do you think i should do?

So far the readers say your not "nuts" if you talk out loud to yourself (while working etc.) And almost all of the readers say that they believe in, ghosts, aliens, and the supernatural. So if someone who believes in ghosts and spirits, also talks to themselves, are they "nuts"?
