Is it possible to forget the plot of a movie/book/game/etc. in a short ammount of time on purpose and not be reminded of it when you go through it again without the use of drugs or getting hit in the head? If so, how?

Er no... memory is an automatic function not controlled by us, you can't un-know something specific once you know it, nor can you un-see something once the eyes have transmitted the image to your brain.

Of course people forget things all the time, but we don't get to choose which ones - except by not studying them very hard to begin with :)

what is considered a short amount of time? I highly doubt that without a serious injury or serious drug use you could forget ALL the details of a plot.. Maybe hypnosis .. but I am not entirely convinced hypnosis even works..

Just forget it and when you start to think of it move your eyes from right to left real fast for 25 seconds and you will forget what u were thinking about.

Have a traumatic experience while reading/ watching the plot.

Getting sodomized by a 250lb black guy named Baba will probably work…give it a try and let us know how it turns out.
