When I was young it was almost every day if I was not getting some. I am over 40 now, and sometimes the urge comes every couple days, but sometimes I do not even think about any kind of sex for months.
I know a few women who are totally shocked at the thought of masturbation. One friend in particular who a bunch of us worked several months to convert, because she kept getting with ****** guys because she needed sex, and letting them ruin her life. I think it worked, because she has been on her own for a couple years, holding out for someone good. She complains once in a while to her friends about how bad she wants a man, but she seems to be getting by.
Also, my ex husband thought I was weird for incorporating masturbation into sex, but he sure couldn't get the job done.

I've had plenty of guys tell me that they play with themselves at least once a day. Most of them do it multiple times daily.
I'm obviously a girl, and to answer for myself, i play with myself about once a day. Whether in the shower, or before bed, or between sex, it's always fun and exciting.

I can't speak for the opposite sex but it's not uncommon to masturbate an average (0.5-2 times per night.) 0.5 meaning once every two days.
I noticed so far 4 males have given a clear answer, and 0 females have given us a frequency. COME ON, GIRLS!

it all depends on the persons core belief system, a persons personal needs and access to sexual supply. men and women differ in their belief systems, so if a person believes that playing with themselves is wrong and that belief is back up with a strong religious belief then they might not play with themselves at all, but on the other hand if the the person doesn't see it as being wrong he/she might do it but, this all depends on access and supply. if the person has ample access and supply than playing with themselves might be less frequent as opposed to them not have an access and supply them it might be everyday all day it depends on the need...

guys i heard as often to everyday to once a month.
i havent done it in months.
it varies within the person.
but usually guys do it more. hormones.

When i have the urge...once perweek and sometimes twice. It depends on my mood. I dun like doing it because i want to get rid of it. I would love to enjoy it.
