last week i went home from a meeting with two women who had good relaionships with their mothers, They know their mothers love them and they are close. I never had a good relationship with my mother growing up i had anger towards her cos she got rid of me a few time and told me she did not want me. one was showing off about her mother all the time, bit too close but i felt at a disadvantage. i never even liked my mother most of the time she ignored me alot put others and herself first like i was not important.

Is this world appropriate for blind faith?
Is this world appropriate for the Gandians Princiles?
Is in this world (except 1% of people) selfish?
But I believed in blind Faith, Gandi's principles etc.

Now, is it appropriate that I should have blind faith on my parents who have already seen 15 boys for me? But not informed me till today and I came to know the same from many other persons or relatives. Now I am 33 and the parents want me (MA, BED) to get settled with a boy who is B.COm and live in a very small place where there is no opportunities. Actually I think they have no options left and they want me to get settled anyhow.
What shall I do now? Yes, it is possible that the boy may be more understanding then the previous ones and more better than them.
But should I meet the boy before any decision.

Looking for reply.

I have an overwhelming fear of spiders. I do not recall any past experience that would make me afraid of them, so I am wondering where this came from. Are you born with it? Why do some people have them when others don't?

For the last 5 or so years, I have not had one moment of fun, of living. It's like i'm forever trying to be in control of everything or something, i'm thinking maybe I put up some kind of barriers earlier in my life, & ever since it's like anything that is unknown to me gets held back untill I have control of it or something. I don't know.
It's been too long, i'm going mad.
Please help. I can't afford therapy.

I figured it would be a good idea to find someone who had the same problems I do have and managed to overcome them to serve as inspiration.

So there are two issues:

1. How can I discover (a) who I am and (b) my fears, limitations etc?

2. How can I find a person with a similar answer to (1a), that overcame (1b)?

Please help me if you can. What I thought of as a simple PMS, turned out into a feeling of complete hopelessness, maybe even anxiety attack. My business is not doing well; I am not making any money at all, and my relationship with my boyfriend seams to be sleeping away. It’s almost like I can’t get over the belief that I don’t deserve what I want in life. The feeling of not being worthy is wearing me out. I thought that I worked things out within myself, but apparently I missed something. I am desperately trying to hold on to the idea of going deep inside, quiet my thoughts, and I find myself having really hard time in doing so. Usually I end up falling a sleep and waking up with a sense of failure. Failure is pretty much what I feel most of the time. I always feel like I failed with everything in my life, like I never got anywhere, like I’ve been repeating my past over and over again. Why do I always feel like such a looser? Why am I always so harsh on myself? Why do I always have compassion for others, but none for myself?
How can I go deep within myself, for real, and once and for all put to rest all those thoughts, concerns and beliefs? How can I don’t fall a sleep while trying to do so? How can I find the peace within me? I know it’s there, how can I dig it out? How? How? How? For god’s sake; how? Tell me what to do.

I am terrified and want to get out of my dream but can't wake myself all the way up or move for help from my partner to wake me all the way up. It will happen repetitivley too, like I will feel like I'm about to wake my self all the way up, than ?I will feel myself falling deeper into the dream again. Eventually I wake all the way up and am terrified like what was happening in the dream was a real life experience. Does anyone know what might cause this and what it is called?

Deep down I feel a lot of confict. I enjoy punk music, tattoos and skating. At the same time I like a good book and a night in perhaps with a game of chess. I feel like I have a split personality and feel guilty about wasting time no matter what I do.....so how can I balance myself better?

When we discuss what we believe (subjectively) to be "right" or "wrong," the use of sin, sinner & sinning seems to be very controversial, perhaps because of the religious implications. This inhibits intellectual discourse as it then changes focus by creating conflict between the relgious & non-religious. Just reflecting on how that might help.

I am starting to practice as a Hypnotherapist, but do not have a Psychology degree yet, I am currently an undergraduate student of Psychology. I am hoping to find answers as to whether or not this is a good idea to pursue Hypnotherapy as a profession before I have a degree in Psychology. If no, what is your recommendation as to when I should start practicing? If yes, what is your opinion as to the best way to balance school and work (my private practice)? Plus, how would I deal with issues such as relocation because of transfering schools? Any other advice on the matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
-Yiu
