Does anyone ever really grasps this?

"From the moment we are born, we begin to die"
(Everyone's time is already counting down)

Why do people waste it?

What should we be doing?

Even if we live to be 100 years old -
this just a nanosecond in the life of mankind.

How do you force yourself to wake up in the morning if you technically don't have to wake up early, but want/need to because you are desperately trying to change your sleeping habits.

I have heard from many experts over the years that ADHD is not real, but that there are kids out there that are just more energetic, and just need more physical outlets. I sometimes wonder if those pundits have ever known an ADHD child.

My cousin was diagnosed as ADHD. At the age of 3, he could not sit still for more than 5 minutes at a time. He could not follow orders. He was up every day at daybreak. All through his teens he was this way.
He has an older brother that is totally normal... very calm and curteous. Both boys grew up in a very disciplined environment, and were involved in tons of outdoor things such as hockey, hunting, and ATV stuff. They did not have a TV, so they spent all their spare time playing.
The point is, this kid was an absolute firewire. Even when he came to visit, he was getting into everything. I have no doubt in my mind that he suffered from something other than just boredom. And yet, 'experts' would say he was not being paid enough attention.

A disturbance in affective and cognitive function that overlaps diagnostic entities but is common is psychosomatic disorders, addictive disorders, and post traumatic stress disorder. The chief manifestations are difficulty in describing or recognizing one’s own emotions, a limited fantasy life, and general constriction in the affective life.

I chose the topic "Singlehood" for human development class. This research paper must be 10-paged in length and in APA style.

So far, I haven't made a very clear main idea of what I'll be writing about.

A friend suggested me to write about-- the common reasons associated with the singlehood of both women and men reaching/and after the age of 30? Can this be added?-->Do women and men have similar reasons for being single? How do they differ?

Or do you think it's a good idea to include what women and men think or feel about their singleness?

Your help is appreciated.

It means something like "being out of touch with one's emotions", and can be used to describe what happens to people with horrible injuries, like spinal cord injury. They don't really face how the injury affects them, because it's too much. I think it starts with an "a", and it's really obscure. Thanks

Imagine that in your final session with a client, you provide them with information about the additional services that are relevant and available to them, should you call them to make sure that they have followed up? Why/Why not?

When counselling clients do you think that there may be situations in which your legal obligations conflict with what you believe as an individual? Why?

Do you feel attracted to a movie star because he unconsciously reminds you of your high school PE teacher, or a singer because she looks a little bit like your first girlfriend?

I ask because there is a comedian I really fancy, and when I saw a fan photo of him taken front on like a mug shot, I realised he looked very much like the first boy I had a crush on in high school. Same face shape, hair, eyes, nose, mouth, height, build etc. And when I thought about it, they have similar voices, smiles, senses of humour and personalities as well.

It made me wonder if ALL crushes on people we don't even know (like celebrities) can be traced back to a real person somewhere in our past.

Would this explain why some very stunning famous people leave one cold, while a kind of weird-looking one arouses one beyond belief?

Last night as I was lying in bed I had just started to doze off
when suddenly I woke up not knowing that I had even fallen asleep and felt like I just jolted back into my body.
My whole body shook for a split second and I was quite terrified until I realized I must have fallen asleep.

Does this sound familiar? Can anyone recognize this?
Thank you in advance for your answers.

I work with a guy who has a significant stutter. Sometimes he can talk for a while without any pauses, but at other times he gets stuck and really struggles. I don't know if it is because of this or if he is just naturally reserved, but he has been really hard to get to know. We are going to be spending alot of time alone together in the next few weeks for work-related reasons and I'd like to get to know him a little better. Any ideas of how I could accomplish this without making him feel pressured or embarrassed?

Are there any reputable studies backing the theory that you are what you hate, or is it the case that claiming someone is projecting his own issues onto another is itself amatuerish and inappropriate without compelling evidence. For example, I'm pro gay rights, but I don't go around thinking every homophobic person is secretly gay. Is there a reason to think they generally are? It sounds more to me like giving school yard bickering legitimacy.

Doesn't the same logic also conclude that hating paedophles means you are one? Who doesn't feel offense at such a supposition as that?

Call me cynically, but I think that a truly happy person is rare. Most of us, especially young people like me (I'm 21), seem to be striving and struglling to get where they want to be. It is their suffering that give them a reason to want more. But their seem to be obstacles in the way. What are yours?
