Because I just broke my back and am in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. No more walking, running, jumping, or heartily embracing girls. Throwing children in the air. Kicking ***! I hate, hate, hate my life and I want to die.

Probably because it's not a regular work day for most people. And some of us are truly lonely and scared. Too much time on our hands, people start thinking, sometimes especially when alone, one finds themselves, getting depressed, perhaps not achieving there goals in life fast enough. Some people actually enjoy there own company, wish this was true for me, as well. Seems to me most of here on Saturday. Alone at the computer, or alone with our thoughts anyway--dang it I wasn't really depressed till I started trying to answer this question. Good Question! Hope I have at least helped some with the answer, God knows I could use the 10 points. So I'm really trying to give you a good answer.

Well think about where you are and where you want to be. Saturday night is supposed to be one where you are out having fun with friends or loved ones. Chilling out online is not exactly what most people have in mind when they think about a thrilling Saturday night. This leads me to believe that the average person here on a Saturday night might be feeling a little blue. I'm working and using this as a distraction but still am a little depressed.

Because. Saturday night is the general time when most of your friends are out partying but didn't invite you. Or decided to do something and you weren't around. So we get depressed and start to ponder our lives. Realize that something's wrong. And since Yahoo is just so damn smart to come up with this system. Well... you get the idea.

I feel this way almost every weekend, but choose to answer other people's problems rather than introduce my own.

your partly right. some work weekends and have weekdays off. others are really lonely and need to communicate, but are afraid of a confrontation with someone who can see them. we have been brainwashed into thinking that the weekend is the only time to meet people, and sat. night is the pinnicle. for others, its a great alt. to television and maybe you can help someone. if you were really sad and had no one to talk to, what would you do?

because we've all been told since we were little that on saturday night, we're all supposed to be hooking up at the disco. that only geeky nerdy lonely people aren't out hooking up at the disco.

when in reality, only a tiny sliver of the human population goes out and hooks up at the disco on saturday night. but since it's drummed into us by tv, movies, magazines, all the normal people are led to believe they're uncool and left out, so they get depressed about it if they aren't at the disco.

people are silly creatures.

Kinda like those damned zombies on day of the dead. You answer 'em and they keep on coming back no matter what. Could be people can stay up later if they don't work on weekends.

Because there is nothing to do on Saturday night if you have no life. So.....the only thing you can do is show up here. During the week they have work. Saturday morning chores and stuff. Saturday night......nothing.

I'm not lonely and sad. I would rather stay home and watch football on the weekends than go out !

I never think about people on here being depressed....I just think for right now they have some time to kill and this is harmless.

A lot of the questions are not very serious....they're "time-fillers".
