it seems over the last few years i have lost the joy of liveing its almost like i have forgotten how to be happy my mother passed away 2 years ago and thats realley the onley falmey i have except for a step father who abused me as a child both mentle and physical .i have a hard time keeping a job and its getting to the point i have to force my self to get up in the morning ive even concidered sueicid and came close a few times it seems as if i just cant put the abuce of my step father in the past or for give him for the things he has done to me it seems like i am alone in the world where all the doors are locked am i nutts

It is said that pain is a subjective experience that is influenced not only by physiological factors but also psychological factors too. I understand that there are various psychological measures designed to measure pain but how can you measure something objectively if it subjective?

I noticed that A LOT of people ask about their IQs, wondering if the score is good. What is your opinion? Do they really not understand or are they just bragging?
Everyone is always asking if an IQ over 120 is good (although this only exists in about 10% of the entire population). Why doesn't anyone ever ask about an IQ of 89 or lower?

it is the age old questoin is the glass half full or half empty i have quite a therory on this, what was the glass before you changed it. if the glass was empty and you filled it half way then wouldnt it be half full because it started empty? and it it was full and you removed half then it would be half full because it used to be full.

We did this essay in LA about our view in banning books. I said that it was okay to cecore what your own kids read but I thought it wasn't right to make it so that one can read it?

I was wondering about the book banners view. Why do they need to tell other people how to read. I'm sure there are a lot of book-banners around here? Why does it matter to you what every one reads?

I've been dealing with a lot of seriously bad crap lately, some of you might recall some of my previous questions. But the events raised some questions in my mind. I know many people believe that vengeance is completely wrong, and hell, in court it wouldn't fly at all. But I honestly believe that depending on the crime it can be very appropriate for solid and harsh vengeance. After all, it's not like the Police Department does anything worth mentioning.
