I noticed that A LOT of people ask about their IQs, wondering if the score is good. What is your opinion? Do they really not understand or are they just bragging?
Everyone is always asking if an IQ over 120 is good (although this only exists in about 10% of the entire population). Why doesn't anyone ever ask about an IQ of 89 or lower?

Also, what are your thoughts when someone asks, "My IQ is 150, is that good?" and someone responds, "Its good. Mine is 165"?

Bragging..if you have an IQ over 120 you probably already know the answer to the percentile rate. If you have an IQ of 89 or under, you probably don't care. The rest of the population hardly ever boasts "Yay Im average and some of my friends and family are actually in the slump towards slow average and possible mental retardation!" ?

If you also notice the typing / spelling / sentence structure on those questions, one must doubt that it is pride in an actual IQ test score. One who has that high of an IQ would know the answer and realize the venue is not going to yield a flurry of Mensa members echoing the sentiment of how brilliant that person truly is. I believe it's ignorance. Someone has told that person a score....or perhaps it is from an online source...and the question is to find out what others think about that number. It's amazing how high the IQ can be on a free test site that leads to other "free" tests for high scoring individuals.

Isn't that wild? If someone who says thier IQ is so high, then why would they be asking a question a cave man would ask? Oops!! Sorry, didn't see you standing there guy. Hey! Where ya going? I didn't mean anything by it, Hey!! Wait!! An IQ, as you know, measures basically one's ability to learn, not intelligence, per se. Oh, by the way, mine is 436. ...caio.

Alot of people do these online IQ tests, and they are not accurate at all, my Uncle had to get IQ testing done (professionally) and its not a so simple 1/2 hour test. If your curious get it done right, not a bunch of hear say and bull that people get from some website.

I've thought that, too. It seems at Y!A we have the entire 7% of the population above 130.
