Turn your question around. Why can't extroverts decide to introvert their personality?

Why would they want too? Are you saying being introverted is a bad thing?

People seem to think as introverts as unsociable, loners, hermits or whatever which is not often the case.

I remember watching this pretty good program last year from the UK, forget what it was called, maybe The Big Five but anyways it divided people up by various measures, one of which was extraversion/introversion and filmed them for a period of time.

One thing I liked was that the extraverts got together and threw a party with dancing and music and such whereas the introverts just sat around having drinks and good conversation.

FEAR! FEAR of rejection of failure, or been judged, of being seen as incompetent, ugly, rediuculous....and all the time taking what others think of them to heart.
