Do you feel attracted to a movie star because he unconsciously reminds you of your high school PE teacher, or a singer because she looks a little bit like your first girlfriend?
I ask because there is a comedian I really fancy, and when I saw a fan photo of him taken front on like a mug shot, I realised he looked very much like the first boy I had a crush on in high school. Same face shape, hair, eyes, nose, mouth, height, build etc. And when I thought about it, they have similar voices, smiles, senses of humour and personalities as well.
It made me wonder if ALL crushes on people we don't even know (like celebrities) can be traced back to a real person somewhere in our past.
Would this explain why some very stunning famous people leave one cold, while a kind of weird-looking one arouses one beyond belief?
