It depends on the kind of exam you're taking, but you describe a kind of cognitive style that requires some kinesthetic expression.

In other words, you need to move around or otherwise keep your physical mind occupied, while your mental mind works on the problem. Be careful, as this can become actual distraction.

Try bobbing your leg up and down; you know that nervous "vibrating leg" habit some people have? If it doesn't drive other's crazy, it may serve as a focus for you.

Another suggestion is doodle paper. So long as you can doodle and design while your mind focuses elsewhere, it may work for you. It's kind of like people who can doodle while they're having a deep phone conversation- the conscious mind needs the body to keep busy.

I hope this helps.

get a song going in your head...or sit close to the window or door in your classroom...try to filter the noise to help u concentrate. It might be an idea to ask ur teacher about listening to music, or something else to help u.

That does seem to be a problem. I too have the same problem when it is too quiet. I chatter my teeth together real fast but not to loud. Or I chew gum and chew it real fast. It is loud in my head but not to others. Good luck!
