Yes, I believe it can be at times. I consider a person who defends his/her beliefs and is outspoken about it when questioned, would be considered a good trait. I believe a person who defends a friend when others might not, is a good trait.

On the other hand, if a person voices remarks that can be considered hurtful, that would not be a good trait.

Moderation in all things. I call outspoken people like I think you mean "aggressive" and others who speak the truth when asked "assertive."
Hope this helps.

Yes, for most of time. An outspoken person is someone easier to understand. This means that this person is comfortable with telling other people his mind and his thoughts. This is a great quality in a friend. However, one cannot be too outspoken in certain situations. Knowing what to say or not to say is important. But who is perfect? No one.

No it is not to everyone. I normally just let people believe what they want to believe and only outspoken when it is something that I feel strong about like religion being a scam. And even with that I know when to keep my mouth shut about it. Just one word about religion no matter how you say it will make someone want to kill you. So out spoken is not always a good thing. It is better to know when to shut up.

The more you talk the more everyone knows about you and the easier it is for others to take advantage of you.

you know that's the best question i have read in a long time, because there is a fine line on being proper and also polite, everyone has been in the situation were you know what is right but you do not dare say it, along with that the same situation were you are mad it will most of the time come out. I know from my past experience that i should have been truthful to myself and believed my inner mind and would have saved me alt of grief, exegetical with relationships, good luck

I think it is a very good trait to have. Being outspoken does not mean you have to be rude or tactless; it simply means stating your opinion calmly and courteously. It's not always easy, but I believe it is something that everyone should learn to do.

I have always disliked that word "outspoken" because it sounds as if you have no right to voice your opinion, and you certainly do. It depends how you use it. If it is used in a negative way, then no, it isn't good. If you use it in a positive way, then it is great.

The good thing about it is...."what you see is what you get." Sometimes it's a lot better than being sneaky, getting back at people in underhanded ways, or talking about things behind a person's back. Many times I prefer the person who just gets it all out... as long as they are not ranting & raving, or being violent in any way.
