My story, set in the year 1799,is about a youn lady (Emily) who is poor in America. When her parents die,she becomes the warden of a kindof wealthy Aunt in England.Emily, who hated poverty because she experience many tragic events in her impovrished life, and was never really accepted by her peers, starts to like her new upper-class life. But slowly,it changes her view in life in a rather negative way (ex.Appearance comes before character.Money before love) and starts caging her, turning her into an artificial doll (as many upper-class people are). But then she meets a gypsy and she's attracted to him because he reminds her of the life she ONCE led.But in the end,the gypsy asks her to elope, but she rejects, because society has changed her from a romantic to a realist, and in reality, she knows that he can't offer her the comfort her AUNt can offer her.

Can you make this plot anymore interesting? or is it fine as it is? And have more phsycology to it?

In football, you are taught never to look back. If necessary, take the hit. You are always moving forward. striving for that elusive prize, the touchdown.

In baseball, you go up to the batters box, take a swing at the ball in the hopes of reaching first base. With the help of the next batter, you hope to return home and score and be congratulated and smiled upon by your team-mates.

One sport - football, says, don't look back. Keep going forward, and above all, don't get intercepted.

The other sport, baseball, says come on home, we need to see you round the bases.

Are you a baseball fan or a football fan ?

In a world with growing problems of increasing urgency are people using some form of adaptive ignorance to contunue with their lives as though nothing could be done. Is this kind of attitude exactly why things get so bad?

I want to be more successful at my job, but it requires a focus I just don't have. How do I get engaged in my job? How do I make myself more motivated and focused? Is there a way I can rev up my ambition to match the end goal of more success (meaning money; meaning respect; meaning a job I'm passionate about)?

Can I *change* myself?

Dr. Phil's Life Law is..There is power in forgiveness.
Strategy: Open your eyes to what anger and resentment are doing to you. Take your power back from those who have hurt you.. my question is ..is it possible to forgive someone who molests you..after all the pain and embarrassment (sp) and humiliation they put you through. I still have to see this person unfortunatley and honestly no i don't want to forgive him.. but i cant sleep at night and it's affecting my relationships with my family and personal friends. what can i do to not let this consume me.. besides see a therapist.. sorry for the shitty spelling.

Often, I see answers streaming in to a question. I post my answer and suddenly, everyone else stops.

It's true. The number of times mine is the last answer is quite disproportionate.

I believe I'm developing a speech impediment. I keep stuttering and stumbling with words, and will occassionally mix up words. When i do so, prefer to mumble so i wouldn't get embarrassed, and would repeat myself with the correct phrase. I believe it started developing two years ago, when i was a freshmen. I went through a phase when i frist went to my new school. At first I didn't like my school and began isolating myself. I had friends, many friends, but they were really busy, so i would say home and since i had nothing else to do i would (ick) read or research. I also began building my writing vocabulary; that is, i would write with complex words but wouldn't speak them. Can someone please explain why and how speech impediments form, and how i can treat them, other than a speech therapist? I never had problems speaking before.

Do you ever get the sense that the characters on the shows are acting out things that have already happened to them, as a way to mock or ape their real life reaction experience?

I'm 13 and currently seeing a phsycologist for my anxiety and self esteem problems. Lately(since the start of school) I've been getting so anxious. Like, I was worried about not finishing a summer packet and worried about having mean teachers. I totally freaked and started crying. Then, today, I had cheerleading and I thought it was an hour later than it really was, so my ride came, but I wasn't ready at all! I then started crying too. I also worry a ton! Like, during the night, I'll think of a million things for the first day of school, like, "Ooh, I need this, and this, and this", etc. Well, I'm just so tired of it. I was wondering, are there anxiety pills? I want to stop worrying about dumb stuff like school and cheerleading!

Im sure that most of us remember the controversy of the infamous "gay gene". Was it real? was it possible?..well, moving on...

Some groups argued for it, using it as a crutch to explain their lifestyle; whereas others objected such a claim saying it mocked the foundation of physical and mental genetics.

I'm single and I've come to accept the fact that Mr. Right may or may not appear in my life. However, I am a true romantic and I don't know what to do with my feelings and desire. How do I find a substitute for releasing them and make myself happy. No matter what I do or how satisfied I am with my work, school, friends, you name it, nothing compares to the grandeur of romantic experience with my beloved.
