Do you ever get the sense that the characters on the shows are acting out things that have already happened to them, as a way to mock or ape their real life reaction experience?

The shows are heavily edited. Some characters are given scenarios to play out, which I'm sure from time to time they re-shoot.

Watch how many writers are listed in the credits at the end of the show.

They're very fake, the term reality tv is very misleading, there's almost nothing real about them. Honestly I don't get why so many people watch them.

90% fake because nobody is being their true self since they are on TV
