You're fine! Sounds like 'floaters'; these are naturally occuring, gray looking particles in the eye fluid that drift around the eye. you sometimes get them more after a heavy night or when you're tired. this website will explain it in more detail :-)

I'm not sure what they are, but a few months ago I was reading the paper and thought I saw, in my peripheral vision, a dark figure come to the doorway that was across the room. When I looked up nothing was there, but when I looked over at the dog, he was looking at that doorway too!

Yes, it happens and there are more than a few theories. I see it (them) often. They can be anything from debris in you eye to beings from the spirit world i.e. ghosts, angels, shadow people, etc.

i read that those are actually some kind of substances or particles (cant recall the name) left in the eye at the time of ur birth. when u try to gaze in the far of distance they seem to appear. they are kind of transperant and of all odd shapes and sizes.
its ok and its very normal ! :)

It sounds like you may have a form of paranoid dissorder. You should maybe seek some counseling. It may be nothing, but better safe than sorry.

Only happens to me when I've been working a lot of midnights. You may need more sleep.

It don't happen to me. It only happen's to people that are hallucinating on some bad drugs. Get yourself in to some good rehab clinic, pal. That will clear up the seeing things part.
