What make people decide to attack, relentlessly, anyone that has a different opinion and/or different goals?

This has been happening to a dear friend, for months, now, at this very site. As much as I try, I fail to understand why would people opt to use their time to attack others, instead of taking care of their own lives.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this very sad situation!

Have a wonderful weekend! :)

Once day I was talking to this guy about music and how I like alot of 60-70's stuff. He asked me where got this music (I'm only 25) and I was about to tell him I find it and research it but that's not what came out of my mouth...It was strange..I told him "It finds me" and he smiled and nodded. I don't know where it came from.

Then I was thinking, intent seems powerful and I thought about the creators of these deep songs...Their intention was for the song to find people.
I guess it doens't make a great question but does this make sense? I've been thinking about it for the last week or so, any help/comments?

I am 17 andi was in a re-hab facility for self-mutilation, depression and suicide. I got out 7 months ago and religiuosly took my meds saw my therapist and physcologist. Recently though i have decieded that i hate the way my cipralex makes me no feel anything. I cancelled all app. with all doctors and ave taken myself off the meds. However i have started to find myself in the razor isle and staring at my razor longingly. Is this cause of my lack of meds? How do i come off them "gracefully" or do i o back t the morons who dosed me up continuosly????

I've grew up with the notion that being good looking especially as a girl is perhaps the most important thing to be. The thing is I am not one of those girls. In the eyes of the society I have always been categorised under the 'ugly' group. I never cared about it when I was small naturally, but now I am a teenager and my looks are causing difficulties for me in my social life. I am not really bothered with all the social neglect and bullying that is going on in my life right now, but is it going to be like this all my life? I know girls with all sorts of defects but none are really ever treated as badly as me and my sorts. What I am worried about now is of the possible effects my looks are going to have on my future professional life. Do I at all stand a chance of being in a romantic relationship or anything of the sort? Do us ugly people stand a chance in this world? And don't tell me how the inner beauty is what really matters because I've heard that being said and it never works.
