That's the answer to it all.
Start there, get a job, make some money, then you can afford to go out to have fun, make friends and pick up girls.

That's not a lot of info to go on. You need a job and you need to spend and save wisely. You need to take time to smell the roses (have fun, relax.). When you least expect it, the girl will come. Maybe you are to intellectual for the folks you have hung-out with. Try joining a club in a subject that interests you, then you are sure to have something in common with the other participants.
