In football, you are taught never to look back. If necessary, take the hit. You are always moving forward. striving for that elusive prize, the touchdown.

In baseball, you go up to the batters box, take a swing at the ball in the hopes of reaching first base. With the help of the next batter, you hope to return home and score and be congratulated and smiled upon by your team-mates.

One sport - football, says, don't look back. Keep going forward, and above all, don't get intercepted.

The other sport, baseball, says come on home, we need to see you round the bases.

Are you a baseball fan or a football fan ?

The rules of sports were not intended as an analogy for life.
You can read into them whatever you like.
Generally football players have better uniforms except for the headgear. Baseball has better hats. It's all about the clothes.
Analyze that.

i love football, however regarding your question i think they are both the same. at the end we are all looking for the same thing : to return home and score and be congratulated and smiled upon by your team-mates for the elusive prize "the touchdown" which we wouldn't have been able to achieve if we had stop and look back instead of going forward.

Actually I'm a running race fan...you see a person in front of you and you set a goal of getting a better time than that person. You will not hurt that person, but you do want to achieve a better result than the other person, so you push yourself to achieve the desired result.

To me, running is the ultimate sport to learn effectiveness.

But in terms of your two sports, I prefer Baseball. Come on home, we need you, and I like the fact that less people are injured.

I'm a football fan for sure. I love the sport. But on a more serious note, I also like it because there is no turning back. The past is the past and all you can do is learn from your mistakes...

very interesting......given the information i would have to go with the football option. i am somebody who does not want to wait on others in order to round the bases. i want to move when i want to go and stop when i want to. the idea if waiting is not appealing. another reason i would have to with football is that i always look forward. whats behind me is not important and in some ways it scares me. given the choice i would rather not be intercepted as you put it but if i am i will the take the hit and get back up and continue on to the ends zone( i think that's what they call it in football).

Baseball is much more civilized, isn't it? Returning home is a good goal, we learn so much in going around the bases. Football is more of a "mob mentality", assuming that "we" are right, and overcoming by brute force.

On t.v. I like to watch basketball above all else. Well I like to watch the LA Lakers. So anyways out of baseball and football I would say football on t.v. and baseball in person. Baseball can loose my interest on t.v. really fast. I would rather go to a game and watch it. It is more exciting that way. Football is the same way, I can loose interest in it when it is on t.v. but I am more likely to watch it on t.v. than baseball but I like to go to the games better.

In person is better than anything else. It makes it more enjoyable.

I guess I am a football player that wants to be a baseball coach. I am never to turn back but I want my team to make it back home.

Football, it's a land aquisition sport testing your will and determination. Baseball, it has been said is 3 minutes of excitement crammed into three hours, major snooze.
