If you saw a homeless person eating from a rubbish bin, would you stop and offer money or to buy him or her lunch? Or would you turn away and try to forget what you had just witnessed?

I am considering getting a 2nd Master's degree in Counseling and I want to hear from certified or licensed counselors and what they think about the profession. Can you make a comfortable living from private practice? Do you do other things (i.e. teach or do research) to make additional income? Do you like the work or do you hate it and want to do something else?

Please, only replies from counselors.

If you are offended by this plz don't read as you know of the potential responses.

Why are girls embarrassed to be naked? I know guys might be cause of all the "how big your thing is" jokes. But girls are pretty much all the same (unless they're menstrating). So what is embarrassing? For argument's sake lets say they aren't fat, and they are only nude from the waist down.

Almost everyone has heard the phrase nice guys finish last. I've noticed this to be particulary true. Everytime I see a hot girl 9 times out of 10 she will be with a total asshole (undeniably). Is there some chemical in the brain that makes girls more attracted to bad guys. Probably a lot of them don't even realize it.

I've seen to notice when I do something bad, it comes back to me in a direct or indirect way shortly after. Likewise if I do something good. Of course this doesn't happen 100% of the time, but it does occur frequently. Putting religion aside, does anybody else feel this way or am I just being superstitious?

Why is it when I wear darkened, mirror sunglasses that hide my eyes, I feel absolutely no shame, shyness or self consciousness?

When I put snglasses on, I look people directly in the eye and say whatever I want to say to them and they get nervous (touching their faces, covering blemishes etc.)

However, when I take the glasses off, all the sudden I have trouble looking people in the eyes and I feel self conscious?

I work at a job that provides great pay AND benefits (much better then I did as a teacher).

I feel as if I am going mad (well "mad" might be a a bit overstating it,)

however.

I like working with people that involve caring for others (that's why I chose teaching, but I couldn't pay my bills) and in turn ALSO are supportive of the people they work with.

This is not the scenario of this position.

As a secondary part to this question: IF you did say yes to "have any of you felt "displaced" at a job?," answer this queation:

"What did you do to resolve it?"

Is it weird to not really like anyone and to spend all kinds of time alone? I mean I work fairly alone and I don't really interact a lot with others, and when I interact a lot, I tend to not get along with them. I tend to feel like they aren't as bright or something.

So is this a psychological disorder?

Yes, I do get lonely and I realize I don't really have any friends because I haven't treated people well because the truth is I don't enjoy most people's company!

It may be an unlikely scenario, but I think its within the realm of possibility. If what we think is life is really just a long dream. Where would our phsyical bodies be? Why would we be put into such a dream state and by who? And how would what we wake up to be different than the dream?

Actually I'm not quite clear about 'psychological processes' here means. It's so subjective and general for me, but I have to answer this to make it an essay and submit it. But, I really don't have any ideas about the psychological processes underlying mnemonics. You have some ideas? Thanks!

After, I try to hide and quickly heal it. Right now I have three places I pick at, one is an old spot that healed.. Help me understand if you can..
