These sound like anxiety dreams to me, or perhaps a fear of not doing right by these "surrogate children".
I may be superimposing too much of my own experience on your very brief statement: I had heart-rending nightmares about my bird friends after an acquaintance told me about letting all of the birds in her care starve to death. (Supposedly this was an accident.)

my propose will be to get the puppy save to clip the wings as if it flies a lot less it wont get damage and could calm the chook down, the feathers improve again in like a month also this can be an really good risk to tame the chook, wish all of it is going nicely.

Maybe you feel threatened. Senses are heightened during times of danger and can spill into your subconscious mind.

Your dream is your own fear of freedom. You want to break loose from something that is keeping you captive. Only you would know what iit is. You don't have to tell me. Your fear is, that you would get hurt in the process. Don't fear, go for it. If you can dream it, you can do it!!!!!!!!!!!

Subconsciously you think they are fragile and because you can’t protect them when you are asleep, you think something bad will happen to them then. It won’t.
