It may be an unlikely scenario, but I think its within the realm of possibility. If what we think is life is really just a long dream. Where would our phsyical bodies be? Why would we be put into such a dream state and by who? And how would what we wake up to be different than the dream?

The dreamer. A dreamer creates dreams about certain issues, to play it out, and consider outcomes. So it is - just like that - to the larger self - as it is playing out possible experiences and alternate outcomes to the big issue(s) of this (each) life, and, also satelite issues.... The larger self is a master at multi-tasking, and fully capable of being stranger than fiction...you will wake to yourself : THE DREAMER. Yes, you are the master, and you have engineered this, ( partially in cooperation with others, ) for your owm experiences and purposes. Play with it. Create new outcomes. (Just a suggestion, of course.)

What you see is what you get!
The essence of you remains unchanged in any dream. You should know from experience that dreams only need a projected body.

If it is a dream it is short, not long.
