Hey,

There have been many theories to raise the great ship from the depth of her watery grave, the earliest being back in 1912. However, all of them have proved to be impossible. Theories such as filling her hull with pingpong balls, to, as shown in the film "Raise the Titanic", setting explosive charges to rock the ship so it becomes unstuck from the mud-like sand and float to the surface.

The Titanic, after all these years, is unstable. Taken from the high pressure at the bottom of the atlantic and moving it to a less straining environment would simply be taking away the ships suport and would crumble.

Hypothetically, if we were able to refloat her, I have mixed emotions. Firstly, it's a grave for 1523 souls. They lost their life on what is now an infamous date. We have to respect and treat it like a cemetary. However, it would be extremely beneficial to scientists to learn of what really happened, it could help solve the many mysteries that formed the Titanic legend.

Would the Titanic remain famous if what really happened was identified? draining the imagination from all who are interested? Keeping the memory of those alive forever with the mysteries, versus losing all interest with the realities of the disaster. Again, it's a gravesite, and the Titanic is their tombstone. Morals are with me with this question. If the Titanic could be raised... I wouldn't.

I would leave the ship resting on the ocean floor. The titanic in all it's glory, tragedy and mysteries has become legendary and the idea of raising her now would almost be an anticlimax. Some things should remain untouched. Titanic is one of them.

No I'd leave it where she is in respect of the people that went down with her.
Seeing it on the bottom of the sea was fascinating but sad.
