I've seen to notice when I do something bad, it comes back to me in a direct or indirect way shortly after. Likewise if I do something good. Of course this doesn't happen 100% of the time, but it does occur frequently. Putting religion aside, does anybody else feel this way or am I just being superstitious?

I believe that there is definately something working in the universe where what goes around comes around. I think people can attract positive things or negative based on what they do in their lives.

Yes, to a point. I had a friend who was jealous of my things and "accidentally" dropped my purse which contained my wallet, checkbook, digital camera ($300 USD) and cell phone (pink Razr $450 USD) into the lake. She did not act remorseful at all about it and after I got my things from the lake, they were ruined.

In turn, she would constantly blow me and her other friends off to have extensive, hour long or more conversations on the phone with her boyfriend who moved far away. When we got irritated with her, she yelled at us and told us to not be so "insensitive." Whatever!

So one day she calls me to complain that her phone bill was $650 and couldn't imagine why. Well when you text message someone 200 times a day (I'm serious) and talk to them for hours a day, it can be that much. I did NOT feel sorry for her one bit, especially after she didn't offer me so much a dime in restitution for my purse being dropped into the lake under her care. Maybe I shouldn't have brought it down there but gosh, I was on the boat for a couple hourse. Hope she enjoys paying her $650 phone bill cuz of her bloke of a boyfriend... Karma is a B1111.... :)

Good observation !
No need to really "put" religion aside , religion can only vouch for it , if at all, and this phenomenon is not religion dependent !
And, it has to happen 100 % at all times. Those who happen to notice it are more aware, alert, and conscious, proportionately !
Nature works ONLY that way ! For those who have the experience, no proof is necessary. And, superstition does not work with this natural law !
Spiritual masters can help to 'fast-forward' the process of dissolving karma.

Defined by Newton's third law: "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction". The idea that any given force has a pair or opposite force.
My mother has preached this to me for as long as I can remember. I believe in Karma so I always do to others as I would like done to me.

I absolutely positively believe we reap what we sow...in the garden and in life. This is not a religious belief. It is an observation which is obviously shared by millions of other occupants of this planet. It has been called Karma or Kismet or Fate or??

Whatever goes around, comes around. So is the same as what goes up must come down.
As long as you have a clear conscience, did not commit anything seriously wrong, you definitely will feel at peace with yourself.

I believe in consequences. Which is like Karma, but without the weird philosophies attached ;)

I can't explain it if you don't want religion in my answer. There is an answer - if you are willing to learn for yourself.
