I'm a 22-year old man, and I tend to have a weak short-term memory. My long-term memory is pretty good. But I've noticed that most of the time I forget what I wanted or came for just minutes ago, and this also sometimes affects my academic performance (Although I do get good grades, but I need to review stuff like a million times to memorize them). Is there anything that I can do to actually make my memory better? I don't suffer any other psychological problems that might affect my memory.

--Please don't suggest visiting a psychiatrist, as I can't afford one right now.

Has anyone ever had the urge to just give up and 'leave'. I'm not talking suicide or anything like that. Has anyone ever gotten so sick and tired or their life they just wanted to leave and start over completely? I've been having these urges lately. I'll never do it, of course, but the temptation is always there. I'm in college and I seriously have no idea what I'm doing here. I have lost contact with most of my close family and friends and I think my mom is the only reason I don't just 'leave'. Anyone else ever feel this way? Did you go through with it or let the temptation slide?

Every time I say or do something which my boyfriend really doesn't approve on the least he really gets furious! And when I say furious, I mean HELL furious... The annoying part there is that he really becomes too paranoid afterwards. I tried talking to him about it. I even told him to take anger management, but instead he got mad at me.
How could I possibly tell him to be patient and avoid getting angry at the smallest things? Trust me, I really think he does need it, being the kind of person who always gets himself into trouble for being so impatient.

I am too sensitive. I let everything get to me. At work, when my manager criticizes me, I get my feelings hurt. People hurt my feelings when they talk about me. I like honesty, but I can't handle the truth. I cry about everything. How do I stop this sensitivty and get some toughness?

When they're not... for instance some people think they're so good looking, young and wanted, yet they are seriously overweight, old and haven't had a date in 20 yrs. It's like they live on another planet. It doesn't appear to be low self-esteem, but they don't see themselves as others really see them. They are convinced that anyone that is the least bit smiling is "attracted to them." How do you deal with people like that who won't stop bragging about themselves?

I asked another question and I realized something. I realize my boyfriend doesn't own television, cd player, radio or anything like that. He have huge fish tank in place where most would have television and a lot of books. He also have fish tank in almost every rooms.I know he have moneys for television or radio because he have a pool table, laptop, and a several cameras.

I know he doesn't have any religion so it can't be religion, he doesn't live with anyone either. When I asked him about it, he simply say he doesn't like it. I'm wondering if there's more to it than he's letting in?

I kept telling a guy how hot I've been on him and that I want him badly. To this his reaction was, "I thank you for being so kind to me." I'd like to know what you think of his reaction and how you'd react if you were him. Thanks a lot for sharing with me your input.

My husband keeps trying to do something new, he's tried pro football, going to the service, the latest - to be a police officer. None of these attempts have been successful. I've been trying to be supportive but he tries something new every 2 -3 months. Almost makes me feel as though we (me and our unborn child) are not enough for him. his current job pays very well, but he says he just wants something different. Psycologically why does he try so many different things in less than a year when focusing on our family would be more helpful and put the household at ease?

Let say if you're a successful child star, then your parent somehow took or spent a the money and leave you for dead.
After years you got back on your feet, how nice or genuine them would have to be for you forgive them? For me if people turn from evil to good then that is good. Your opinion is very much appreciated. Thanks.
