Want a quick temp. fix- buy yourself some clothes.

Want a long term fix- think positive. Are you in college if not go for it. It will make you feel better and and will inforce the positive thought that the future will be better.

Already did the college thing- you can always continue the education. The bigger the degree the more money one makes. Not that money can buy happiness but it sure feels good to earn your own money.

Are you a high school student? Get involved in activitys that you find interesting. Start thinking about college now.

We all have our ups and downs. We feel good and think things are going well and at other times we feel that life sucks and we doubt our future. (Completely normal unless you find yourself down for a lengthy period of time.) I don't believe that is your case.

You seem to just be down for the day and worrying what the future holds.

If your worrried about the future that means it is time to evalute yourself. Ask yourself, what is the worry? How can I change it? I am sure you know what your concern is so you can ask your friends family how you can go about changing it. Come up with your ideas and get ideas from others, make a list and then go from there.

For myself, I worried how will I take care of my son and myself. I am a single mom and I work part time. I don't have lots of money. I can't even afford all my bills. I am on welfare. I don't like any of this about myself and I worry about the future. If I continue this life style then yes life is always going to be extremely rough for me and my son. I thought what can I do to change this? "work at a factory? Well that is not my thing and I see alot of people getting layed off and places closeing up. I thought of many different options and then I chose college. Now it doesn't fix my situation at the moment but I hope once I get that degree things will be better in the future.

It took me a long time to figure out that If I wanted a better life and future that I had to do something about it. It wasn't just going to happen. Yes I am a late bloomer and proud of it! Better late then never.

Be Happy!

I know this feeling because I fight a continual war against depression and I know all the methods that alleviate it. Rigorous exercise-cycling or swimming is ideal-or eating high carbohydrate foods (releases serotonin into the brain) gives you a temporary lift. Don't touch drugs including alchohol but don't sit around doing nothing-be active and think positive. Negativity is not allowed.

I find the gym a really good tonic when I feel low, I am not the fitest person in the world but I go in and push myself as hard as I can, build up a real sweat and then after a good long shower I feel 100% better. Give it a try, what have you to lose xxx

think of what you have achieved with your life so far, dont worry about the bad things you may have been through, it would have made you stronger.
what do you want to do for YOURSELF in the future? think of a goal and do whatever you have to do to achieve this goal. we all feel down at times, nobody can be happy 24/7 (if they are i think they have to be on drugs) i often feel negative about the future, but then i go shopping, or go to the hairdressers, once i feel good and sexy again im ready for whatever is thrown my way!
you could be like me...suffering from lack of sleep and moodyness due to a teething child!

who doesn't ;find a new interest, a new boyfriend, buy and love a petdog in your house, think of the thousand dead people and children from the lebanian war, go to a casino, change your hair, have sex, drink 3 bottles of ouzo !, eat a bunch of sweets, go for a walk, talk to a stranger, have a good and relaxing sleep, play an instrument, do crosswords, make a puzzle, cook a meal, have friends over, have a pyjama party, call your parents and tell them you love 'em or that they've ruined your life(what suits best!) !!!, or you can just scream it out that life is beautiful !!!!!!!!!!1

Don't just sit there feeling sorry for yourself. Do something positive for someone else, keeping your mind occupied. The process may help you feel better. You can then follow up with an act of selfishness as a reward!

No-one knows what the future will bring, the best we can hope for is that tomorrow will be better than today and if it isn't, that we learn from whatever takes place.
