So what does this tell us about women in power???? Powerful, independent, headstrong women (in politics) such as Bhutto and powerful, independent, headstrong women (in society) such as the Princess of Wales; Grace Kelly; Marilyn Monroe; Maria Callas, and others.

When you think of all the male politicians, and all the attempted assassinations of males.....

G-d, it makes me sick!!!!!

With technology advancing the way it is, there will be one day when an unborn child of any age will be able to live outside the womb or in an artificial womb (they are working on this in Cornell btw) Therefore the "its my body" or "until the age of viability" reasons will not be able to justify abortion like they do nowadays. What do you think?

When it comes to masturbation?

In my opinion yes.

Think about it, a woman has to be 'in the mood', be in an appropriate enviorment (in bed with spouse, etc), be all emotional, and just go through all this other crap before she can truly and correct masturbate.

A guy meanwhile doesn't have to go through all that. All a guy has to do is excuse himself from a social gathering or something, go around back behind the building, unzip and have away with himself and be finished and relieved in 5 minutes before returning to the party as if nothing happened.

A woman feels the urge? she has to wait until she and hubby get home and get 'in the mood' before it can happen.

A guy feels the urge? go to the bathroom, unzip and do your business, wash your hands, return to the party and have fun.

Sometimes a guy dosen't even have to be sexually aroused if he feels like jacking off. He just does it cause he can. A woman however has to be all emotional, etc

You see where I'm getting at? Agree?

Many a man has lost a woman because he could not control his anger, which can result in physical abuse.

And I think about the girlfriend who I am leaving after several years who cannnot comprehend that she has a problem:verbal abuse, as if I were her emotional punching bag.

I don't think a lot of woman can see how destructive it is to there relationships, that they have some God-given right to keep needling, nagging, moaning, complaining even when your a decent guy who makes good money, supports his family, and works to do the right things in life.

Have you ever been at a point where you did everything in the relationship to come up to speed, only to find a NEW laundry list of "problems"...

Your thoughts, please.

But one interesting thing comes from this. If women are better at multi-tasking overall wouldn't women be better drummers than men as well? I think that is more of an individual thing and neither sex have the better ability but rely on one being musically talented. But if anyone knows anything about music is that very good drummers have quite the multi-coordination ability and are definitely multi-tasking. A very good drummer has to be able to hit the bass drums with either left or right drum stick or both while stepping on the floor drum in beat and in sync while hitting the bass drums. And also alternating over to the snare drums while doing these other things in harmony and rhythm or while keeping the beat going or changing it up but still keep the beat going in sync with the song. Then don’t forget the crash symbols and all this multiple coordination without losing rhythm and keeping the hands and feet to be in sync all together.

it seems that educating people is a good way to make things happen, but trying to create laws that limit personal behavior (objectification by women of themselves in the media), or trying to have the same number of women as men in government organizations that less women than men care to be involved in in the first place. or saying that women should have to be paid the same as men by privately owned companies. and so on and so on. does this not reflect socialist ideas? do you believe that socialism is the way to go?

There used to be this myspace group called "dead hooker storage" (though last I checked it was shut down, and the original material only exists on independent users pages now).

It's many jokes included a photo of a storage unit with blood seeping out from underneath and a caption that reads "you're convenience is our pleasure", and a photo of streetwalkers with a caption of "little do they know, I'm behind one of the cars with a gun."

Given that sex walkers are currently a very at risk population for violent crime, I find it to be kind of a creepy thing to joke about. What are your thoughts?

When I was younger, I worked in a number of retail jobs where my boss nitpicked over my appearance, telling me how to wear my hair, telling me how to wear my makeup, insisting that I wear high heels, etc. I've been fired for refusing to wear full eye makeup (I can't, I'm a horrible flincher). I've worked for bosses who told me they picked female employees for their looks (one memorable boss told me "ugly girls don't sell clothing" as she was throwing a resume away). I noticed this happening to a lot of my female co-workers as well.

Has this happened to you? In what industries? And does this happen to men? To what extent?

Like the new Volkswagon Beetle for instance. 99% of people driving them are girls.

Then you look at the Corvette and 99% of drivers are men.

Why?

Why are most stupid looking cars driven by women (like the beetle)? Do cars with rounder shapes remind women of their own curves? Do cars with more angles, shapes and corners remind men of their lack of curves?

What do you think?

respond to you and treat you, is this because of your appearance or because your "self-esteem" is better and you have more "confidence"?

That's a common explanation I've heard and I think it's rubbish, because I've always been very confident about my intellectual abilities and always be self-conscious about my appearance, but losing a lot of weight made a huge difference in how OTHERS perceived me. Women in particular have told me, "Oh, women aren't as shallow as men: they're responding to your greater confidence."

What do you think? Is your answer different for men or women?

This is not meant as an attack on "modern" men/women any more than it is meant as a defense on "old-fashioned" men/women.

But at least the way I mean it, I can understand a historical and biological precedent to the way that roles developed over hundreds (or thousands) of years. Men doing hard labor, women staying home to raise kids, women changing their names, men paying for everything, men ruling the home, virginity, promiscuity, etiquette, dating, marriage, you name it. I know these roles aren't right for everyone, but that doesn't mean they're wrong for everyone.

Times are changing, but there is a reason why this is how it's been for a long time: it might actually be the BEST and MOST STABLE way to raise a family.

I'd like to hear some of your thoughts on what you define as "traditional" gender roles, and whether or not you think they still apply to society in general, or your own life.

communicate with their wives, preventing them from filing for divorce. A law was passed last year, entitling the wife to 50% of the husband's pension (among other things), and divorce rates are reportedly going up. Questions:

1- Would American men join such a club?
2- Are they joining the club to save their marriage or wealth?
3- Why are more women filing for divorce now?
4- Will the foreign wife lovers exclude Japan from the list?
