Why do WOMEN prefer certain CARS over MEN?

Question

Like the new Volkswagon Beetle for instance. 99% of people driving them are girls.

Then you look at the Corvette and 99% of drivers are men.

Why?

Why are most stupid looking cars driven by women (like the beetle)? Do cars with rounder shapes remind women of their own curves? Do cars with more angles, shapes and corners remind men of their lack of curves?

What do you think?

There must be some biological reason why women prefer certain cars and men don't.

Why don't women like horse power?

Why don't men like "cute"?

Certain cars are designed to appeal to women or to men. Men like cars that look aggressive; women like cars that look cute. (This is oversimplification, of course, but it is the general rule of thumb.) It's probably because the men and women themselves want to look aggressive or cute respectively, and the car is an extension of that.

I personally am not a big fan of VW Beetles...they are too small and compact for my liking.

Lately, I've been admiring a lime green Super Bee at a dealership I pass every morning on my way to work. Wish I could afford it. ;)

I like safety and good engineering most and preferred the Volvo, which I don't think is cute or sexy to anyone, but I don't drive now. I use a bike. If I owned a car now, I'd probably go for fuel economy, maybe a hybrid.

Oh yeah, and one more thing. Corvettes actually have a lot of curves. I've always thought that if I were a car, I'd be a Corvette. (Don't ask, it was a game my friends and I played in H.S. "If you were a tree, what kind of tree....etc."). Beetles are just ...round, NOT "curvy."

Certain cars are desighned with women in mind and certain cars are designed for men.
The Beetle has a long door, making entry and exit easier. and it's "cute"

The Dodge Charger on the other hand has high horsepower and graphics that appeal to the male ego

There might be other reasons for buying the Beetle vs. the Corvette over and above the “cuteness” of it. It’s cheaper than a Corvette, and it has a flower vase in it.

While your like and dislike is purely opinionated I think you are on to something. Curves are more feminine while angels are more masculine, so your theory does make some logical sense. However Corvettes are quite curvy, especially the older models.

properly, Indians are Asian. So are midsection easterners. i assume you have been conversing with reference to the East Asian women, although.
