Some commentators are saying that those without Internet access are seriously deprived of a basic medium of communication. Will they be left behind in an information society? Does society have an obligation to ensure that everyone can have access?

my friends always say that I'm cold and that I don't have feelings.
I can't understand why. they always tell me about their problems asking me for solutions. and come to me to cry.
I always try to understand their feelings and help them finding a rational solutions to their problems.I am always there for them in hard times but they never show any gratitude instead they always say I have no feelings.
I always try to be considerate and never said they were wrong to feel a certain way. but sometimes I think they take very bad decisions because they are very emotional and later they always admit that.
I don't like to cry and I don't talk about my feelings. is that why they say I am cold or is it something else?
if there was something wrong with me what should I do?
plz help

Anyways iv not really ever though about him like that cuz he is a pretty nice teacher, but today last period, we were in science, i was wearing like a white undershirt that came down to like 3 inches below my neck and i had an over shirt on top of that, anyways i asked him about the homework, he told me to stand up for some reason, so i did, and then he was like okay i am going to try to put this so im not being rude, then he asks, where am i looking when im talking to u so im like, umm idk at the class, and then hes like no, DOWN UR SHIRT! i mean i think he meant like it looks like i am looking down ur shirt or sumthing but i like zipped up my overtop so fast I WAS SO SCARED. then he is like im not looking or anything and im not trying to embaress u but im trying to save my own ***, what the hell does he mean, WE R IN GRADE 7 and i got sooo scared i wanted to cry,

Please help I don't want to have sex.
The thought of it makes me sick and I feel like I don't want to take my innocence away.
I also feel like I don't want to grow old and face the adult world.
I'm 16 and I seem to be the only girl who feels like this.
Most of my friends have already had sex or had oral but I haven't even been kissed!
I've never been sexually abused or assaulted or anything like that so it's not that...
I don't even like to go out partying.
What's wrong with me?
And I don't think I'll feel any different when I get older because ever since I found out what sex was it's always repulsed me and made me feel scared.

Are the remaining feminists trapped in a time warp, living in a past of their own making? It's sad to see them so much out of touch with reality. They persistently spout old-hat polemics, pontificating about things they know nothing about except for what they have been inculcated with in women's studies classes or the like.

How much sense does it make for some wet-behind-the-ears 19 year old girl to be pontificating about how "women have been oppressed for thousands of years" (apparently without knowing that men and women both have been oppressed at various times in history)? And some femmies still rant on about "votes for women", apparently unaware that men and women are now able to vote and have been able to do so for nearly a hundred years.

The bottom line is that successful women (be that success in a family context or in the workplace) have MOVED PAST FEMINISM with all that old emotional baggage.

How do you feel about it?

personally, i don't agree. the "truth" doesn't bother me; it's lies represented as truth that makes me angry. what about you guys?

I will be definitely majoring in Japanese...but I am not sure if I should also major in economics...or international relations...

I was leaning towards doing a double major in economics and japanese, with a minor in global and international studies...but I'm not sure. Since an economics degree can get me further along...(with jobs/careers)...I thought that this would be the best path. Just in case an international relations degree won't help me.

I was also thinking about doing an international relations and japanese double major, minoring in economics. But if I did that, I don't know if I'd be able to get a good job/career.

What do you think? Should I just do what I'm doing? (Econ/Jap double major and minor in international studies)

If I do, do this, then I was thinking about being an International Trade Specialist...but if majoring in international relations...then maybe something similar...or the foreign service.
