I heard a song this morning that I haven't heard in years and it immediately triggered memories and emotions of the time when the song was originally being played. Why does music evoke such strong emotions and bring to the surface memories, good and bad, that we tend to forget over time?

There is a lot of debate on this forum about whether feminism opposes the tradition "nuclear family" model comprising stay at home mum, kids and breadwinners, which is usually greeting with the response that feminism is about choice, and that there is nothing wrong with traditional roles.

Yet I do wonder how the dice fall on this. Do those who adopt traditional roles do so because it is what their parents had done before them, and because it is heavily promoted as a cultural ideal.

Are people choosing traditional roles simply because it is the path of least resistance, or is it as an inspired choice having tried other options and simply finding that traditional roles work best for them?

If you are in a traditional type relationship, have you ever been in one that is not? How do they contrast?

If you are in a non-traditional type relationship, have you ever been in a traditional one? How do they contrast?

What are your opinions?

Why don't people try to care even when they don't does it hurt so much to make one persons day when you needed someone and know one was there for you do you forget so fast how it made you feel , do something great today take a leap try caring for someone you don't know before caring about your self.

Well.. i am a very sexually active person i admit. but it just doesn't feel so normal the enormous amount of dreams i have in sexual themes.. i have a strong feeling that they are not as sexual as they may seem..
I have had dreams in which i have had sex with relatives.. gross, i know, but i can't do anything about it!..
i don't even know where to start.. in brief, i have had sex with my young brother, a couple of uncles, an attempt to have sex with my mom, friends (males and females).. and as much as with complete strangers..all in my dreams of course!
anyway, i would go into details if it could help with the interpretation. but i have a pretty big collection.
i just would like to know generally what does sex represent in dreams?? besides wet dreams??

On a serious note, why is it that when Republicans appoint women to certain jobs we always have to hold our breath and hope they don't have a "I don't know what was the Cuban Missile Crisis" moment? Do they do it on purpose?

I mean when a guy; no matter how rich or how poor he is; asks a girl to marry him he's basically offering her the one thing that he will always have that won't run the risk of crashing with the stalk market, that will always be his greatest possesion, and he's offering to share it (not only share but GIVE it) with her. And she is basically turning around slapping him in the face and saying "NO! Your last name is not good enough for me!" Why? I would feel honored if the guy I loved (who I have yet to meet) wanted to share his name with me. I wouldn't want to insult it by tacking on anything else to it.

Should femininits be banned from the GS forum, should we just let normal women on here? Feminsts rarely address questions, they try to dodge them, they prefer just to hurl insults and abuse at normal women and at masculists and men's rights supporters.
