Soooo....let's see. i am 3 years older than him. he is first guy i've dated seriously since broke up with fiance 3 years ago. he is in college, but a partier, not usually what i would date but we click. i was moving to utah to be near bro after been dating bf a few months. bf wanted to come ..but yikes he's still in school! after much deliberation, decided he should come. he wants to run more, party less, take a break from those friends and this scene. SO we decide to go. word spreads across campus like crazy, to teachers, team members etc. i had qualms about him going cause i am older and thru college, but he had found good work out there and wanted a break. i told myself him getting off partying was more imp than school if that was what he wanted and he plans to come back, scholarships will still be in place. ANYWAY, last night, just decided to CHANGE ALL PLANS and neither of us are goin out west. stay here, him finiish school. my question is...how do i face all the people??

Every time I see a question on here, if it's one for advice about personal problems such as dieting, pregnancy, car matenece (sp), it seems that they simply don't want the truth. they ask the question, but every time they select the answer that requires the least amount of time, money, or effort. They aren't asking a question, they just want people to agree with them. It's like all they want you to do is say, "you're right, i can eat 45093430 calories and still lose weight, because it makes me comfortable :) " or "my car's engine fell out the bottom and drags the ground, it'll only cost me 5 dollars to fix it because i'm only missing my radiator cap? that's what i was thinking..."

is it just me, or do best answers seem like answers that agree with what that person already thinks?

My boss is SOMETIMES a nice lady. She has some mood swings, and she becomes petulant at the drop of a hat. She is a little condescending during those times. She is demanding and disrespectful, IMO, during those times.

Keep in mind, I want to keep this job. What can I say that will not result in me getting fired? I mean, whenever my boss is in an ill mood and is ill-treating me, what should I say? I want to sound mature, intelligent, to the point, professional, and direct. I do not want to be offensive, defensive, nor aggressive. I just simply want to be calm and assertive.

Any suggestions on what I can do?

The goal is to be respected. I show respect to my boss, and I expect the same in return. But I also know that you cannot demand respect- you COMMAND respect.

Thank you for your insights.

PS- if it has any bearing, I am a paralegal, and my boss is an attorney. Also, our office is small. There are only four of us here total.

Feminists always talk about equality.. yet when looking for a romantic partner.. they prefer a man who makes more MONEY than them.. or at least makes as much.

Women marry UP as much as possible.

Now how can any man take feminsm seriously when most women out their are still dong and expecting certain things to be like the pre-womens rights era? How many women are willing to support men and marry DOWN? Very few.
