physical interactions like pool, the beach etc. could you think of anything else?

amusement park....any sport..batting cages, or rock climbing. Pool hall (not sure if you pool the game or the swimming). Rollerblading.

Miniature Golf, Ice Skating, Roller Skating, Paint your own ceramics places, arcade-type places - Air Hockey, Darts, Skee-ball, and Foosball are fun.
I guess it depends on your age and what kind of girl she is, but these things are all fun to do and allow you to interact way more than sitting next to each other at a movie.

Picnic, swimming, paddleboating, canoeing, packing food boxes/bags for the needy (salvation army), volunteering at shelters, bookstores/cd stores, wandering aimlessly through French Quarter/Olde Towne ... holding on to each other and looking at antiques/christmas/people watching ..., quiet meals at little hole-in-the wall places, driving up the Natchez Trace/Pacific Hwy, A1A, Applacian Parkway, the local leaf changing spot, visiting local nurseries, fountain statue shops, museums of any sort,

Rollerskating. A good old fashion date. Also since it is December there are a lot of street fairs and light shows you can walk around and make an evening of.
