Can you imagine how boring it would be if we were all the same? Being different, means that we can show our differences and be proud of having our own individual characteristics and likes/dislikes.
Being an individual allows us to have healthy debate about numerous topics and makes it possible to have many opportunities and avenues available to us.
If we were all the same, we would only have a few degrees on offer to study, similar travel destinations and we'd all wear the same clothes etc. Why have other options when they wouldn't be needed.
Having differences is a freedom is refreshing and new, and while being different can cause heartache at times, our individual personalities make us who we are, and tell us where we come from.
Individuality makes our own position in this world special.

Individuality brings about special characteristics that could go far in this world, from inventing Facebook to coming up with the cure for cancer, take away individuality and you get conformity to standards which limit a person s greatest potential.

Why would you want to be like anyone else. People look at rich people and celebrities from a distance and wish they could be like them, but they don't see the responsibility that comes along with those stations in life. I would only wish that people could see the beauty in being who they are and improving on that, but instead everyone chases someone else's dreams and wonders why they don't like who they have become.
