What the heck is a "Leara"?

Italy used to have a currency named "lira", which has been phased out in favor of the euro. Turkey still has a currency named "lira", and you can look its exchange rate here:

It changes daily, just look up "currency exchange rates." Hasn't the Lira been replaced by the Euro? The last time a looked the Euro was worth about a $1.50 U.S. Yes, the Euro is stronger that the U.S. Dollar.
